Coastie04
Just figured I'd put the word out here that on Thursday, 22July, there is a parade of tall ships pulling in to New London, CT. The ships that have been confirmed as attending are: Eagle (USA) Cuauhtemoc (Mexico) Tenacious (United Kingdom) Mircea (Romania) Iskra (Poland) Cisne Branco (Brazil) Pogoria (Poland) Picton Castle (Cook Islands) Bluenose II (Canada) A.J. Meerwald (USA) Amistad (USA) Grand Nellie (USA) Puinnipiak (USA) Sound Waters (USA) Clearwater (USA) They will be in New London until Sunday, 25July. I know the members of Free Men of the Sea will be there at least on Sunday, but I was wondering who else is planning to attend and when? Hope to see some of you there. DocF225
I'm planning on going Friday (took the day off this time). I figure the weekend will be a mad house. Friday may be a bit calmer, better for photos. Doc Wiseman - Ship's Physician, Stur.. er... Surgeon Extrodinaire and general scoundrel. ladycristean
Well the FMOS were a big hit at this New London invasion on Sunday. As always a big hit with the kids and of course the females. Though some of me mates were naked.....no weapons, due to homeland security issues.
