Grendle Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 I dunno, Cap'n, 'ems a lots a laces to deal with! I likes me boots like I likes me wenches ... simple, tall and loose. Arrgh, I said it out loud again, dint I?
Red Maria Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 I had a a pair of Bald Mountain boots once. Elk hide with a winged basilisk design (my own creation). Had them for years till the toilet over flowed in a place I was living in and runied all my shoes. Pricey but worth it!
Rumba Rue Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 I be the proud owner of two sets o' Bald Mountian Moccasins. I bought my half black boots when I t'was still workin' S. Faire in Devore many years ago at a discount($400.00) since I t'was working at the fair, the other pair t'was given to me by a good friend. Nice tall tan ones (I know they cost over $800.00) that I occassionaly wear. I've had ta replace the soles on me black boots three times since owning them. I wear out shoe bottoms pretty good. They be comfortable, but very expensive, I certianly couldn't afford them now. Rumba Rue **If at first ye don't succeed, then walkin' the plank isn't for you**
Dream Wench Posted June 16, 2004 Author Posted June 16, 2004 Thanks for commenting ! I remember the hippie days. I could wander into Greenwich Village, and buy classic Ren shoes, and boots for very little. We had a man at Drew University who actually ran around in a Monks Robe made from an Army blanket. People loved him. I like Johnny Depps Boots from POTC. Watched it last night. I like all kinds of things, bein an Aries wench. People with class enjoy the unusual. Class has nothin' ta do with the pur$e...."class" is an eye for quality..be it from Nature, or fellow humans...we know good work when we "sees it" ! or seize it ! Arrr !
Charity Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 WOW, i love those, the horses and black rose ones are awsome! :)

Nigel Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 Nice. reminds me o' Footloose Moccasins, which used to be at the Colorado Ren Faire. I believe they were replaced by Bald Mountain a few years back when they retired. Avast. I had me a nice pair o' Footloose Moccasins, which were lost in a "storage unit debacle" a couple years back, along with all o' the tapes o' me bands. everything else I could give a hoot about - it's just stuff - but me music and me costumes were the real loss. Dream Wench Posted June 19, 2004 Author Posted June 19, 2004 Sorry to hear about your loss, Nigel..but the Universe will make it up to you one day.....
Captian Wolfy Wench Posted June 20, 2004 Posted June 20, 2004 I see a wolf design up top! I likes the design, but the actual boot looks a bit hippie fer me wench look. Nice catch, though! Captain Wolfy Wench
