Katherine "Kat" Adams
I was just wondering if anyone was headed to the Celtic Fling at Mt. Hope Estate. My nephew and I were planning on attending on Saturday June 26. I'd love to meet up with anyone that will be attending. Yours aye Kat

Katherine "Kat" Adams
'Ave a pint on me... and here's hoping we'll be able to meet up at the "fling". We've never been to the Celtic Fling.... so we were debating street clothes (civies) or pirate garb. Do they wear garb or not? If all else fails we'll wear civies and take our garb and change in the van. (that'd be a first, yea right, LOL) I gather you are from PA? or close enough to go to PRF on a regular basis? PyratePhil
Never been to the Fling - work has always gotten in the way - but I always seem to find time for their Pyrate Weekend (week?) during the Ren. Faire... Even convinced my son's teacher to bring their class to the Poe thing :) ...Qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum... ~ Vegetius
Katherine "Kat" Adams
I've managed to get to pirate weekend most times myself, even some years both days. :) Poe fest rocks. My nephew and I get to that each year too. This year will be our first year to make it to the fling, so I'm anxious to check it out. Maybe we'll catch up to each other on Pirate weekend at the faire. 'ave a pint on me. Yours aye Kat
Guest Barbette
We've never been to the Celtic Fling.... so we were debating street clothes (civies) or pirate garb. Do they wear garb or not? There's a good mix of garb and civies at Fling, although garb is usually of the kilt and plaid variety. 3 1/2 weeks and counting!!! Duncan McGuyver
For everyone attending Celtic Fling lets plan to meet for a meet and greet and share a pint. I propose meeting at 12 Noon at Capt. Shucks Pub which is right by the big Pirate Ship. Since the event starts at 11 that'll give people time to get there and relax a bit first. Any thoughts ? Katherine "Kat" Adams
As far as I know I'll be there... and me nephew with me. However the time is unsure for us.... we are to talk to a guy about a job that morning ... nothing was established with him as a time but rather when we can catch up to him. We are shooting for as soon as the gates open. As for garb... well I'm not sure. As all our garb is basically pirate in nature and I've been told that the garb worn at the fling is highland in nature we have to decide what we are doing. Probably go in civies and take garb in case we need to get into it. we'll say that noon will work for us... hopefully if not then we'll try to make contact at that point at least. yours aye Kat

blenderwench
Alas, I was there, but did not find this site until last week.... We were a bawdy crew of pyrates including a wee one to swab the deck, and a barbaric sort in a kilt. ....however, I did make friends with several pyrates... who knows, maybe a few from this board? Would show pics, but not sure how to upload fotos on this post as of yet. A Wench By Any Other Name..... Would Not Taste the Same!
