KW Pirate
The first movie I ever recorded off of TV was a 80's movie with Christopher Atkin and Kristi McNichol in 'The Pirate Movie'. I collect what most people think of as really bad movies (The pride of my collection is the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton in Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band on DVD - awful movie, I love it) I have been looking for The pirate movie on DVD (i'll settle for tape if I have to) but all I can find online are overseas DVDs which won't work on my DVD player. I'm also looking for Pirates of Penzance with Kevin Kline on DVD. Any suggestions or sites? thnx Key West Pirate pil'-lag-ing It's like looting, but the shopkeeper is watching from behind some hastily contrived shelter. Capt Grey
I know someone who recently purchased The Pirate Movie on VHS through Amazon.com. And then there's always e-Bay.... Captain, we always knew you were a whoopsie. Rumors of my death are entirely premature.
Scarlet Jenny
HaHa, The Pirate Movie was on TV 2 weeks ago, and I watched it for the first time! That's a pretty funny movie... I want the lyrics to the song the pirates sing when they're on their way to pillage and plunder. I think its called, "We are the Pirates"... anyone know them? Avast, ye limey lubber! Didn't ye think if Scarlet Jenny (Cutthroat Lass, Scourge o' the Seas, Deadly Duchess o' the Deep) hated ye, ye'd be sliced, skinned an' sunk to Davey Jones' locker? Aaaar! Ye would, and ye'd better start believin' it
KW Pirate
We are the pirates. We are the pirates. Out on the ocean waves, we instill fear and loathing (Loathing, we are very, very loathed.) Marauders with shiny swords and very fancy clothing (Clothing, we are very well clothed.) Local supremacy is what we gun for. We raise our flag and watch those cowards run. We are the pirates. (Rulers of the high seas) We can be irate. (Sometimes very nasty) We wheel, We deal, We steal and thunder. We shoot, we sloot, We put 'em under. We are the pirates. (Shoot, loot, plunder) We can be irate. (shoot, loot asunder) The Pirates, we are the pirates Nothing we like better than an all-in brawl, (Yeah) Locked in battle, watch our victims fall. We are the pirates (Batten down the hatches) We can be irate. (Ay, Ay Captain) The pirates (Yo ho ho) Lads, the pirates (Yo ho ho) We are the pirates. these are the lyrics to the dream sequence song Key West Pirate pil'-lag-ing It's like looting, but the shopkeeper is watching from behind some hastily contrived shelter. Captain Tito
Aye The Pirate Movie was certainly quite comical. I liked the part where McNicole picks up the sword and says "OLE!" I remember also on the old HBO, on at about the same time, a version of Pirates of Penzance with Linda Ronstadt and Rex Smith. Anyone ever catch that one? :) Have Parrot Bay, will travel. WILL SHARE TOO!!!
