Island Cutter
Cutthroat & Blackheart plan to attend this year's festivities. Don't think we"ll put up the "Garage Mahal" out on the Serengeti though, too hot it was! I'll be bringing me Lady Friend too! She's new to this stuff, but she's a Feisty Redhead and willing to put together her kit by November. Soooo... any room with the Archangel Crewe. "No Profit Grows Where is No Pleasure Taken." Crudbeard
If you like, I can set up me six pounder and the ship's rail and do Crudbeard's Cannon Lessons. I havn't been doing it a lot in recent PIPs although it is a mainsay of our Pirates of the Dark Rose gigs, because it takes a crowd, and we have not really gotten a lot of crowd. Sounds like some money may be changing that. Hope So. http://darkrosepirates.com/crew_crudbeard.htm

Mission
All righty. I'll be sending my Surgeon's gear down to Shay so's we can bring it down and set it up back in the corner somewhere each day. Hopefully it will be near someone who does a good show like Mr. d'Dogge so they can send the public my way. Mission
Can someone scrounge up a table and a bit of canvas to plant me under? I have so much stuff now that I can cover a whole picnic table, if that much space is available... Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. Hawkyns
I'll be stitching leather in the sutlery. New kit and repairs if people need them. RedJessi
OH my goodness! I need to get caught up on the thread, but first I need to leave work, BUT FIRST, I want to say that I actually learned a freaking historically accurate skill in the last few months! I can demonstrate how to make yarn using roving (cleaned and carded fleece) and a drop spindle. I have a top whirl and a bottom whirl, so I could even show a couple different techniques. And something else I might be able to pick up between now and then would be an accurate way to DYE said fleece, but I make no promises.

RedJessi
My pleasure! I am thrilled that I can do more than either 1. stand around, 2. roll cartridges or 3. get ridiculously excited about firing a cannon! I forgot 4. get drunk and talk until 4am. I am working on making thread and weaving Spanish moss fibers... I'll be doing very basic drop spindle work and have an inkle to make straps and such.... I am also planning on reviving the sugar cane press. Sterling, I also have a variety of games I can bring down to add to the list.... hurricane
The sugar cane press was such a cool demo. Hopefully the weather won't sabotage the crop this year. And the Spanish moss demo should be a real draw - I know you've been working on that idea for a while. I considered the wheel... but then there is the issue of price, size, etc.... if someone is trying to get rid of one, even if it needs a little work, and it's a 'price i can't refuse' I may be willing to consider.
