Tartan Jack
I've just learned that there are LOTS of "inside jokes" from many, many sources (PMs, various conversations on here going WAY back, Facebook and other on-line connections, plus stuff from actual personal human-to-human contact . . . like events) . . . Some I've figured out, some I think I have but am wrong, and most I just have learned to be lost and move on. -John "Tartan Jack" Wages, of South Carolina

Capt. Iron Bess
Why not? You try to look up my kilt ALL the time! Nonsense. Capt. Sterling
Innocence? Oh I wouldn't be to sure of that... have you looked up the meaning to the word closest to Robbie's ... libidinous comes to mind...rather quickly... no innocence, no intelligence, but not just dumb luck on Robbie's part either...there is a bazaar method to his madness...and I ... ahem.. mean madness... Silkie McDonough
There is no doubt what YOU are thinking good Captain Sterling. I for one, knowing Robbie as I do (sigh) took it as the luck of the lovable lad.
hurricane
Don't you think we could have one or two forums in here without the Cousin Robbie schtick? It gets old, particularly when some of us have relatives who are slow and mentally challenged. It's just not that funny after awhile to people who are proud of their relatives who suffer a disability. And yes, I have a niece who is severely handicapped this way so I take it a bit personally. The whole inbred retarded thing just isn't that funny. -- Hurricane -- Hurricane ______________________________________________________________________ http://piratesofthecoast.com/images/pyracy-logo1.jpg Captain of The Pyrates of the Coast Author of "Memoirs of a Buccaneer: 30 Year Before the Mast" (Published in Fall 2011) Scurrilous Rogue Stirrer of Pots Fomenter of Mutiny Bon Vivant & Roustabout Part-time Carnival Barker Certified Ex-Wife Collector Experienced Drinking Companion "I was screwed. Diosa De Cancion
-- Hurricane Ok, adding my 2 cents here... Agreed, perhaps Cousin Robbie does not need to be everywhere... However.... It is in how that character is used that deviates whether it is offensive or not. I was actually impressed at how well 'Cousin Robbie' worked in Green Turtle Cay(to be honest I was a little worried at first). There were 25 kids who were brought in from the special needs school to the festival site and when it came to game time, they would play together on one side of the field and the kids from the other schools would play together on the other side of the field. Cousin Robbie was able to bridge that gap and within an hour had all of the kids there playing together whether disabled (mentally or physically) or not. It was very amazing to watch the change of the kids. He was someone that both groups of students liked and wanted to play with and when he wanted them to play together, they did. The teachers and parents from the special needs schools were telling me how that never happens and they took a bunch of pictures of everyone playing together. So, while I see what you are saying about perhaps he is everywhere on here...and just reading the posts can be a bit much sometimes... when the character is at an event, in person, sometimes he can accomplish things the rest of us cannot......
