PoD Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 (edited) This is a cutlass I made from an old Indian made decorative sabre i bought off ebay for 99p ($1.64). After cutting the blade down and grinding off all the etching it didnt turn out too bad. I'm toying with the idea of replacing the grip with a stag horn one. callenish gunner Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 looks like a reasonable cutlass for a start ...well done
1stMate Matt Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 You need to dish that hilt a bit more. Got anything round that you can use as a form and beat it over? -1st Mate of Pirates Magazine -Bladesmith/Owner of That Works Studio http://youtube.com/thatworks thatworks.shop

I'm actually thinking of replacing the hilt completely. I have a peice of antler that will look great on the grip and I think I may make a hunting hanger out of it now i have access to a plasma cutter. ...and then I discovered the wine...
