Hester Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Garbage collection: idling diesel truck engine making my windows vibrate; squealing hydraulics; blaring radio from the truck cab; men shouting to each other over the blare of the radio; the crash of empty garbage bins being hurled to the pavement in complete disdain.

Hester Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 The re-issue of The Lilac Time's first album. Gorgeous dreamy folk-rock with a slight edge. 20 years on, it sounds absolutely classic and timeless, and not dated in the least. I'd worn out the old cassette ages ago. The remastered CD sounds great, and the extra tracks are terrific -- right in the spirit of the original setlist. Treat yourself to a copy of this if you don't already own it! Cheers, Hester
