Guest
I've never worked with Friendly Plastic..... http://www.sunshinecrafts.com/body_friendly_plastic.html At first it sounded like it might work.... then I read this...... Could we use some kind of wire as a base and build atop that? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)
Capt. Sterling
Ye would be sticky without me having to help get ye sticky... Capt. Sterling
Just to cut form metal it would not have the dimesional look but would be flat would it not? All I know is I love that piece and if anyone can think of a wy to create I would love them forever... It would depend on how much detail work you put into it... there could be some dimension to it but not as much as a cast piece, unless two pieces were soldered together... Guest
I Goggled and looked at a few pages of stuff.... it sounds like it is slightly flexible.... but on the Indestructibles Page someone said that it get brittle when it's old......
Capt. Sterling
hmmm might be easier just to steal the real one... she can wear it for a few minutes before they toss us all in gaol... Silkie McDonough
Just reposting the image on this page to make things easier. The armband could be hammared out (if you have the patients or skill). The issue would be the figures. Hmmmm
sutlerjon
Durham's Rock Hard Water Putty, avaialable at your local home supply or hardware store, is great, read the label it's got tons o' uses. Maybe not flexible enough, but using Patrick's lost wax process it could be poured into the mold, removed when hardened and painted or gold leaf applique' to replicate piece. Perhaps a measurement of the Syren's preferred appendage would allow it be cast in a size that would fit her. Just a thought, the stuff is great. Black Syren
Hmm I have never heard of it...Ill have to look for it, so it dries not very flexible? I wonder just how flexible it would be... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)
sutlerjon
Dries hard as rock, hence the name, it started out as wood filler, I use it for plugging screw holes on my camp furniture. But it says on the label that it can be used for modeling and pouring and such. It's really versatile, but not very flexible. Black Syren
Ok I went to Home Depot/Lowes/ Ace Hardware and a little place known as Winkley's Trading and Supplies..They have all kinds of stuff and really hard to find for some of it and no such luck with the Durham's. Im going to call the automotive stores around here and see if I can find it that way as well as check with the local craft stores. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)
Black Syren
sutlerjon we don't have such a critter down here..It's going to be like that jar of fluff Lily sent me... EDIT:::: More Info on them explaining the loops over his head The armbands – imposing testimonials to the goldsmiths' art – represent two tritons (attendants of the sea god), male and female, each holding a small winged Eros. The hoops behind the tritons' heads were used to attach the armbands to the sleeves of a garment, because their weight (over 6-1/2 ounces each) would have caused them to slip. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)

Black Syren
I always wanted a pair..but Im not liking the female version as much..Not as much detail to her as I think there is for the merman. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)
LadyBarbossa
LOL Sterling...:::points to Syren::: woman! :) Of course she wants a pair. Just like shoes, ye gotta have a pair. Hmmm...maybe make the femme one more of a merman without a babe? Or maybe a mermaid with a dolphin? Or something else. They are mighty lovely. :) ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" Black Syren
actually I would take one and I would choose ther merman simply because he has more detail, the mermaid does not look that great. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)

Black Syren
The armbands. I found a better picture of it and they are a pair, the male and female. sterling was laughing and teasing me cause I found the set and he said just like a woman to want a pair. actually I would be content with one or a pair but not the female mermaid. The male has so much more detail to him and the female looks..weird. I was also curious as to why they had loops behind the heads and the article on page 2 tells that they weigh 6 and a half ounces and they tied these to their clothes so they did not slip down the arm. I found a copper pot yesterday..I think I could melt it down lol http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)

The Moon Mermaid but my fave is the Atlantis Mermaid..even her tail is in my favorite colors. Definitely the Grace O'Malley necklace in the last and the Shaylee as it's my birthstone, The bracelets I like them all! the Atlantis Dream pendant is pretty too. Capn Bob
I used to live at Fort Knox...there's a great armoured museum there...not that the museum itself is armoured, but they have a collection of armoured vehicles there (Patton Museum of Armour). As for the Gold Depository...well, how are ye at climbing barbed wire fences (might be concertina wire, which is much worse) while dodging bullets fired by *very* unsympathetic expert shots? Umm no gold..nor silver...hmmm maybe I can borrow one from Ft. Knox.... Damn, thats sharp!
