hellfirehannah
Hearts of Steel is an older series of the Trasnformers universe. It was published in 2006. The images I've seen look really neat. Edited July 14, 2009 by hellfirehannah
Ransom
Here's the small (about 8" long) cap pistol I redid. Chain Shot found it at a junk shop and paid $5 for it. Still needs more decoration on the stock, especially on the other side, as it is plain. I'm thinking maybe black tribal tattoo designs? The skull on the stock end was just for fun. The good luck charms are a cross, a falling star, and the all-seeing eye, so I'm covered! LOL ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... oderlesseye
OK Heres the finished product minus a flourish to one side I will add later when I find a pewter picture frame I can pirate to do the deed. There is no trigger because it is "turned on" By a potientiometer dial at the rear to control the frequency of pulse force. This is truely an Air Ship Pirate weapon in my mind. Guest
On my raygun, I wanted to use el-wire instead of the dan-d-line (the aluminum wire)that I used... and rig it so that when you grabbed the grip, it would turn on the el-wire, and a LED in the jar of liquid.... The spoon handle/belt hook broke, so when I have time to play with it some more, I might add it then.....

Captain Synn
I just finished up this "Vampire Hunter's Vambrace". It's covered in weapons... well... you'd consider them weapons if you were a vampire... It's got an 16" side mounted "punch stake", a jar of "holy water", 2 bulbs of (fake) garlic, and a cross mounted on the fist plate between two 1 3/4" spikes... not to mention the center pouch and metal box that could store even more weaponry... or collected fangs... This is obviously for a Vampire Hunter who has been hunting the nocturnal predators so long that he has begun to emulate them a bit more than others would feel comfortable with... Red-Handed Jill
I'm running into a dilemma with regards to my weapon design and could really use some ideas. The inspiration for the design was started by a copper toilet float. I figure I'll use that at the rear end of the weapon and build the rest of it around the rod that screws into the float. I wanted the main part of the weapon to be bulbous and figured on using a vase, which I can cut down as needed, then figure out what I wanted for the front of the weapon. Jack offered to carve a handle for it and then I'd be set. Here's my dilemma: I want to incorporate a gauge, perhaps some lights and a sound chip, to be powered by batteries and hooked up to a rheostat so that it can "cycle up". In order for this to work, the battery and wires need to go someplace and my original thought was for it to be inside the vase. However, in order for the vase to not rattle around on the brass toilet float rod, I would need to weld a washer onto the opening of the vase. This would make it impossible for me to get at the inner workings, such as when the battery died. Any suggestions on how to get around this? oderlesseye
Do you have a basic drawing of this weapon? hard for me to give an answer without attributing an unwanted modification/ suggestion.... I will venture this though..If the vase is not see through, then I suggest maybe using Styrofoam filling and then carve out the room you need for the electronics. Home depot sells the expanding foam in a can. Edited August 16, 2009 by oderlesseye http://www.myspace.com/oderlesseyehttp://www.facebook....esseye?ref=nameHangin at Execution dock awaits. Red-Handed Jill
Heh - I have a sketch I did on a Post-It. I might try to find something along the same lines as a vase, but that can be taken apart. Any suggestions?
Captain Synn
now we all gotta/have to "up" the notch and make even cooler stuff..... Eye am werking on it! Eye am werking on it! Well I'm not really sure how to take some of this... and I'm not really wanting to start some big thing either... I did not post my pix to start some sort of "one-ups-man-ship" deal... I certainly didn't say... "Hey here's my thing that's better than yours...". I posted to attempt to participate in this forum. I'm always one who appreciates inspiring others in creative en devours... but, honestly, to make it sound like someone has to now step up and do better than me... not really cool. I am certainly not in any competition with anyone here... Ashton Synn NyghtCraft Leatherwerks Highest Quality Handcrafted Leather on or off the 7 seas! All of the sudden Eye have a new interest in simple electronics.."My Steampunk" is inspired by the Queen Mary event coming up in Sept. Any event after that..I really ain't sure..yet..
