Red-Handed Jill Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Ransom - the Pan-Kinetic Expo is coming up in April and if memory serves, a couple more steampunk events down thisaway. Could be a good reason for at least one road trip.
hellfirehannah Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Been awhile since I posted last but I actually have a look that is finally worth showing off. Basically what I have yet to do is add on a few bits and peices..like a jacket for when the weather gets cooler. As well as some stuff to add onto the watch chain. Anyways...here's my picture. Let me know what you think as I love hearing feedback. http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs009.snc3/11631_1252045585793_1369121513_31043608_4150568_n.jpg

hellfirehannah Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Thanks oderlesseye for fixing that pic. It looked right when I had it in preview mode so not sure what happened. Thanks kindly for the complement.
Nathaniel Jameson Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 (edited) The nice thing I'm noticing about steam punk is that it is possibly to find many pieces at of your "puzzle" at thrift stores. As I'm looking at everyone's pictures, I'm thinking to myself, "Oh, I saw something like that at [name of thrift store]" or "That wouldn't be hard to make form a vest I saw at [thrift store]" While most of my time and effort is going towards getting a period outfit for my historically accurate persona, I may just have to keep my eye open for things that would make great steam punk pieces. Edited November 12, 2009 by Nathaniel Jameson Oh Bill, I missed you... But I'll reload and try again.
Nathaniel Jameson Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 I've just finished my goggles, and this seemed like the place to post 'em... This got buried and I don't think was truly appreciated due to everyone trying to explain what Steam Punk is. These goggles are amazing. Truly amazing. Might I inquire as to what that metallic piece is that you covered one of the lenses with? Oh Bill, I missed you... But I'll reload and try again.

oderlesseye Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) Here is a full color pic when Eye was at the Chronanaut event.. I look a little short and stocky for some reason.. I just recently ordered a kepi cap from the civil war era to replace the hat I am currently wearing to better suit the character of an airship pirate..However this was a "formal" event so It was perfectly fine to wear this hat this tyme. Can't wait to meet him. I wish you could come to SteamCon in November. Actually, I wish you all could come to Seattle in November, for SteamCon. The theme is Weird, Weird, West. Think of the fun you could have with that! ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold...
