Roll Call 2009

William Brand

Recommended Posts

This list is provided as a roll call throughout the year to gage the number of attendees who are staying inside and outside the Fort Zachary Taylor Historical Park at PIP 2008. The attendees will be listed by camp (period or modern) or hotel. Attendees may be a part of any encampment without camping inside the park and interaction during the festival is not limited to camping arrangements. The list merely reflects names and sleeping arrangments of attendees and the list will be updated towards the end of the year with a "confirmed" status for those attendees who have secured their transportation to and from the event. There are many period camps in and outside the fort as well as modern camping and hotels. We would like everyone to sound off as often as they can with updates on when, where and how they will be attending PIP 2009. If you do not know where you will be staying, you may still be posted to this tentative list. Please send me names, tents, hotels, encampment information, etc. Groups will be listed alphabetically by group name.

For information on the period camps or other arrangements, please see the other threads in the Pirates in Paradise forum, or post your questions here.

To save on space in the forum, I will also be including the names of the Crew representatives who will attend the safety and official meetings for the event on this list. These are the best individuals to contact for information on each crew and group in attendance.

Ah, a Wendy Whiner in our midst. Danged latecomer. We were on the beach before you even knew there was a PiP, ya Johnny Come Lately... Where where ya in 2004 and 2005 when we were on the beach? Still in yer diapers, eh? :) He he he he he...

I know -- there goes the neighborhood now that Hurricane and Diosa are moving back to where we should have been all along. Property values down the crapper, beachside. At least it's easier to steal the Absinthe from Diosa next year, since she's just down the street, so to speak -- she leaves her stuff everywhere ya know!

sure...now everyone wants to play with us on the beach...i allready got blocked out of my wonderful views from last year with everyones big arse tents this year.....maybe this year i'll just stay in the fort.... :D

For the Mercury Crew:

Captain Jim X

Patti X

Morgan X

Tommy (pyrate name to be determined) X

Natalie (tentative) X

(The family will come this year if I have to drag them kicking and screaming. Plans and actions already being taken. We had nine junior pyrates there this year and I want that number doubled!)

And the Souris would be most welcome t' join the crew! Great balls o' fire, man, yer already in the crew! The Mercury is, after all, the greatest pick-up team in all of Pyracy!

I've no crew, but I am planning on attending and camping beachside again.

"Ye best be believin' ye have a crew, lass: yer in one!" to paraphrase that movie thing. The Mercury is the greatest pick-up crew on the planet (of course we may be the only pick-up crew on the planet), made up entirely of people who have no "official" crew affiliation. We have no officers save Quartermaster William "Red Wake" Brand (my "title" is part o' me pyrate name, based on an old James Taylor song.) We have no dues, no meetings (except Key West) and no rules save "Play Nice!". So, if you want to be listed among the Mercury crew, just say so. Of course ye can always jump ship to another crew later (traitorous wench!)

So!

(That was damned easy)

(how firm is the "nice" rule? I thought pirates were supposed to play dirty!)

Told ye it was easy. And we are only required to play nice with other pyrates (they have guns ye know); anyone else is fair game!

I'll be there with a tent. . .

:o

What?! I'm not coming. No way. You and your freaking borrowed mead are evil. Put you in the previously safe confines of the encampment and... Good God! (Plus I won't have any surgical equipment left...)

Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?"

John: "I don't know."

Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."

Haha never fear Mission, I know ways to guard you from the dangers of Stynky......we'll be making rum punch out in the tavern and you can have you fill of that first, so it will be too late for him to have any ill effect on you :)

EXCELLENT! Hopefully I will have a tent of me own by then.

Now, who wants to teach me how to use the cutlass I bought from Callenish??

If we wind up crossing paths in St. Augustine in March, bug me about sword play... I've been working with wife and the other couple (Nick and Ashley) on the same methods used by the Archangel Crewe, which I hear are fairly compatable with what many of the other crewes are using....
