10 of 12! But two of them were just lucky guesses. As Napoleon said, "Give me a general who is lucky!"

Eight out of twelve on the first test.

Seven out of eight on the second. So, did we all miss the same one? For me it was question seven.

...schooners, islands, and maroons

and buccaneers and buried gold...

You can do everything right, strictly according to procedure, on the ocean, and it'll still kill you. But if you're a good navigator, a least you'll know where you were when you died.......From The Ship Killer by Justin Scott.

10 out of 12.

I missed Haiti (aye, more know about Hispaniola than I do the modern names of the island. Oddly enough I STILL call it Hispaniola. )... and Hook's Captain. I could have SWORN it was Bart though. ;)

Oh, well. The rest I got right.

The Inferno... ahhh... Willie had one fine vessel there! Even for something that was from 1632! Hahaha.. at least it wasn' the "A sharp or B flat" question. :D

Not bad, mates, not bad though. ;) I'm sure we'd do FAR better than most out there. ;)

  • 3 weeks later...

11 out of 12...missed the dollar sign one...I always thought the dollar sign had two lines through it which were formed from the letters U and S, and then the curve on the U were dropped. I write the dollar sign with two lines through it to this day.
