Ahoy

Recommended Posts

Ahoy mates. I'm a new member here and hope to do a bit more than trolling through the posts. I've been on the account for about a year and I'm looking to attend a few more events in the mid-Atlantic region during the 2008 season. I enjoy the "Living History" experience and I'll be checking the "Events" calendar often.

I have a decent "kit", some hand-made navigation equipment (Octant, Quadrant, Astrolabe, Nocturlabe {Nocturnal}Cross-Staff, Traverse Board, &c) that I can reasonably use/explain, and a desire to do something. I'm not necessarily looking to join a crew right now , but if you have a berth open at an event, please keep me in mind.

Regards,

David

Welcome aboard , Matey!

Now, if ye really wants the true welcome experience, ye need to be openin yer purse and buyin a round for the lads at the bar. Not that I'd be askin fer meself. No, that would be greed sure enough, I merely wish to endorse new found comradship and seal it with a drink doncha know.

Why am I sharing my opinion? Because I am a special snowflake who has an opinion of such import that it must be shared and because people really care what I think!

Davey... :::arm around yo'r shoulder::: if ye were nearer... I'd be encouragin' ye in the most piratical way t' join m' crew. Now... be ye mighty good with those instruments? If so... I'm sure many o' pirate crew will be wanting to press gang ye into their crew. Surely they want a knowledgeable Navigator or Sailing Master.

I wish ye th' most luck for th' '08 season o' fun!

From a fellow Virginian, welcome to the pub Sir. You may wish to keep an eye open regarding the Blackbeard event for 2008. If you attend please stop by and give a shout to the Archangel crewe.
