LadyBarbossa
::le sigh::: wish I could have been there. Glad everyone had a fantastic time. Hopefully this will spawn more folks to be interested in doing a variety of eras (as coinage 'll allow) and both learn and portray history. Ooo! Ooo! Not sure if this was posted already, but spotted this on YouTube! A video up there of Reenactor Fest 2008! LOVE the interview with Mr Bellows though. Again, hotel room is booked, I'm already getting prepared for it, STILL working on that damnable gown I'm making for myself. At this rate I MIGHT have it finished. Can't say the petticoat will be completely quilted by then but at least the front will be. And the stomacher will be finished that's for sure. Just making sure I have enough fabric left over to have one of those new fabric shoes made by Fugawee to match the outfit. ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" LadyBarbossa
I already mentioned it a couple months ago, posted it in Plunder. Cheeky stated they be not correct for late 17th/early 18th. Which she's right, cause they be more in a mid-late 18th such as around the Rev War. But they be fine shoes nonetheless. Now... Sterling... if ye were a pirate, ye'd not have t' worry 'bout debtors prison. Granted, ye'd have t' worry about th' gallows... but then ye'd come into goods without so much as payin' a shilling! An' ye can sell what ye don't want to make a pretty shilling or guinea! ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
Good shots. The Bristol Faire signs were still up on 94 when I went by Saturday from Pike River event. Now that my Sister has decided to put her money in her own real estate (finally!!!) I may be able to make this years' event. Depends on my course work as usual though. I am glad that I have the opportunity to go to school and become a teacher, but I will be equally glad when it is all done so I can work/play again. I am becomming a dull and boring pyrate it seems. Annoying my family is getting old too! Bo

Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
I can stay with my Sis in Villa Park, Ill., and trip over during the festivities. Being a "real college student," I'm always broke and since I'm older than the average student, cannot write home for money! Besides, My folks are both struggling on their retirement as is. Just hanging out with others crazy like myself is a real treat for me so I will attempt ot make it up this time. Thanks for the offers of assistance, I may yet have need of it. Cheeky Actress
Anytime Captain Bo. I know that there are many of us who didn't get to meet up with you at Pike. Captain Sterling and I still wish to talk about the indetured trade of the Virginia settlements during the GAoP. Any new infomation would be helpful. Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
That is what I hope to continue when I get to the University this fall, or rather in two weeks! The Community college I was at did a ton of remodeling and the inter library thing went down along with alot of other techie thingies, so it put a kibosh on further research. Now in my third year and with all my Gen.Eds. behind me, I start working on my core cirriculum, and have alot of resources at my disposal that were not available at the smaller college. Looking forward to exploring and sharing with you both! Bo

michaelsbagley
Damnation and hellfire!!! There is an event in March I was hoping to go to, but I am certain that it will come to a decision between RF5 and the March event (no way will I get to do both), and I know the wife is leaning heavily towards RF5... And now with so many great folks planning on attending RF5, I am starting to think I should just forget it and just give in and go to RF5....
