Cheeky Actress
Thank you MadMary....I wanted to make sure everyone got credit. Also...this just in....Mike Bollow...aka Fearless Leader posted this on the ReenactorFest Website today.... What an amazing weekend! Reenactor Fest 4 was the biggest and best yet, and a wonderful time was had by all. The Ballrooms were packed on Saturday, and the dance Saturday night was so full that people spilled out into the hall! The quality and diversity of the sutlers/vendors was better than ever, and the cry of "I only wish I had more money!" was heard on a regular basis.RF5 is planned for Feb 6-8, 2009 and new ideas and improvements are already in the works! We don't rest a minute around here!! Oh MY GOD...Only a year to plan for it! Side Note: Mike Bollow has posted the pictures to his ReenactorFest Photo Gallery page. michaelsbagley
Thanks for collecting up and sharing all those photos Cheeky! And thanks to all the photographers that tooks all those pics as well. There really is a great diversity there, and the photos clearly show that! RF5 is for next February.... Does that mean there will be no RF "east" this year? That's really too bad... Although last year it conflicted with PiP, so it would likely do so as well this year, and I wouldn't be able to go anyways...

Although last year it conflicted with PiP, so it would likely do so as well this year, and I wouldn't be able to go anyways... As of now, there is no scheduled RF "East", but Mike B. did ask me to check out some of the areas on the east coast of Virginia. He will be looking into PA. So hopefully perhaps in 2009 there will be another. And not to worry, he will be making sure that it no longer conflicts with PiP. He loves having the pyrate types around. LadyBarbossa
Oh, yes... a year to plan RF5... but also a year to plan Sterling's SURPRISE Bday Party! :::evil, wicked grinz::: Impressive... most impressive. ::: sounding like Darth Vader::: :::Clears throat::: Aye, most impressive t' dance about an not spill a single drop! Ooo.. an' I miss droolin' over said lace. Bein' a pirate, I just might take off with th' lace... Now, that would be an interesting scene: Lady B races down the hallway a la Jack Sparrow style. Following behind be Sterling crying out "LACE! Stop her! Bring back my lace!" ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." The one, the only,... the infamous!
Capt. Sterling
Ooo.. an' I miss droolin' over said lace. I was walking down the hallway Sunday morning when this very nice older woman starts screaming at me... and aye, I mean screaming... "STOP! DON'T MOVE!! STOP!!" I kept thinking.. okay, what the hell did I do wrong this time. Still screaming she comes running over... "I must look at your lace!! It's the real thing... lace, late 17th century and it is perfect!" I just smiled and said ..."I know. Thank you." She did tell me all about how it was made and the pattern name..Turtle Head Lace, which I thought was perfect for a sailor... and she told me its worth... Very nice woman. About an hour later, she's screaming at me again... she wanted one of her students to check me out... I was walking on egg shells for the rest of the day, waiting for her to pop out of the wood work, screaming again... LadyBarbossa
Ahh, lemme guess... she was a Lacemaker? I know there is a lady here in the Midwest she makes period lace and does a fantastic job. That is a hoot, though! ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" I was right up front, but there were a couple other Y-chromosomers sitting near the back of the room. "He's a Pirate dancer, He dances for money, Any old dollar will do...
