Rumba Rue Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 On Nov.3-4, and Nov. 10-11, the last major faire of the year happens. Even though it states Ren-faire, there is Pirates Cove where some really good groups are like Pirates of Treasure Cove and Stranglehold. The event goes on regardless of rain (hence the nick-name Escondido "Rain" faire) which seems to always threaten the event. I will be selling my wares with my friend and you can find us right along the sidewalk across from the ale garden. Hope to see some of you there!
Stynky Tudor Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 *sigh* Is this mandatory, do we have to go?
Arthur Richards from Kent Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Aye ye good friend ye has to go! (keep an eye on the 'orizon though thar might be a perfect storm keepin us away) Touch somebody you don't know today with a smile.
Stynky Tudor Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Aye ye good friend ye has to go! (keep an eye on the 'orizon though thar might be a perfect storm keepin us away) Aye-aye Captain, And how be the Pirates of Treasure Cove shipmates that be living due south of us fairing with the fire store?
Christine Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I'm wondering if this faire will be canceled due to all the horrible fires in the area.
Iron Bess Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I believe the current thought is only to postpone.... Well, you may not realize it but your looking at the remains of what was once a very handsome woman!
Pirate Petee Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Hopefully they will kill them before then.
Arthur Richards from Kent Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Gold Coast Productions was just contacted by the Rangers in San Diego County and at the request of the rangers, the dates of Escondido have been moved. The new dates are November 3rd & 4th November 10th & 11th. At this time it will still be at the same location. PLEASE PASS THIS ON! Touch somebody you don't know today with a smile.
oderlesseye Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Eye confirm wot Kent just posted from other sources.. http://www.myspace.com/oderlesseyehttp://www.facebook....esseye?ref=nameHangin at Execution dock awaits. May yer Life be a long and joyous adventure in gettin there! As he was about to face the gallows there, the pirate is said to have tossed a sheaf of papers into the crowd, taunting his audience with these final words: "My treasure to he who can understand."
Rumba Rue Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 Ok all, so the dates have changed, there's no reason for you not to attend!
Stynky Tudor Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I know a lot of you will likely be going ta both week-ends, November 3rd - 4th & November 10th - 11th, but there seems to be a number of MySpace people planning to amass on the last week-end of the event. Me question to everyone here is, Q: How many are planning to go now and when? - Stynk
Black Mab Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 First weekend only. A'cursed work gettin' in tha way! Avast, ye scurvy dog!
Gigi Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 First weekend by myself (with Stranglehold). Second weekend I may try to make a day of it with the wee one. It depends...he's taken to running up my hoop skirt when I try it on here at the house. Not sure if I should loose a three year old monkey kid on the Ladies at faire....
Rumba Rue Posted November 2, 2007 Author Posted November 2, 2007 The event is upon us. Setting up this evening, with hopes of good fun, good times, seeing old friends, and hopefully making some money. Come on out!
Rumba Rue Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 Looks like it's going to be a cold and probably wet weekend. Dress WARMLY, the event still goes on, regardless of rain - that's why this event has earned the nickname "Escondido Rain-faire."

May yer Life be a long and joyous adventure in gettin there! As he was about to face the gallows there, the pirate is said to have tossed a sheaf of papers into the crowd, taunting his audience with these final words: "My treasure to he who can understand."

Rumba Rue Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 Hahahaaa - he's the second one I've come across in my life who use to do the Jungle cruise at Dizzyland.
