Manhattan Beach Halloween Carnival

....The City of Manhattan Beach and Buccaneers of Tortuga are please to present the cities most popular event of the year,"The Halloween Pirate Party" this years event is on October 27th 2008 ( see flier below ) and we are please to announce that years party will be a special one that feature the invasion of pirates !!!!!!!!!!! this event will have REAL pirate battle reenactment with black powder sword fight ! and yes the cities ever popular "Haunted House" and lots of food and booty or should I say goodies !!!! oh I forgot to mention this years event there will be a pyrate photo booth and a pyrate face painter ! So listen up all you pirates bring the little one's down and have a piratical Halloween party !!

Come meet the real pirates...The Buccaneers of Tortuga

COSTUME CONTEST AND PARADE 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM

· Check in 1:00 PM - 1:25 PM

· Parade begins at 1:30 PM

Age groups and categories: Individual 5-under, 6-7, 8-9 & 10-12

Prizes: Most Original, Scariest and Judges Choice

PENNY CARNIVAL BOOTHS 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Cost: $0.01 to $0.25

The carnival games are made by children and teens of the Playground Program and Teen Center.

TEEN CENTER HAUNTED PIRATE HOUSE 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Cost: $1.00

The haunted house is created and operated by the teens of the Teen Center program (periodic breaks).

Requires tickets; each ticket costs $0.50 and is purchased at the information booth.

FOOD STAND 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Cost: $0.50 - $2.00

Pizza (pepperoni and cheese), soda, water, juice, chips, granola bars, cotton candy and many other goodies.

Requires tickets; each ticket costs $0.50 and is purchased at the information booth.

PROFESSIONAL PIRATE SWORD DUELING 2:00 PM and 3:15 PM

Cost: FREE

Watch pirates duel with swords and watch out, there may be a “black powder” cannon fight.

TREASURE HUNT 4:00 PM

Cost: $1.00 (up to 5O participants)

Children will hunt with a map for pirate treasure.

Requires tickets; each ticket costs $0.50 and is purchased at the information booth.

FACE PAINTING 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Cost: $0.50

Face Painting: flags, swords, animals, flowers and much more.

PIRATE PHOTO BOOTH 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Cost: $5.00

Take a picture with the family; photos will be printed on site.

Bring all your loose change; bills over $20 dollars will not be accepted.

Hi Pearl,

I am hoping to drop by to this, I have to figure out where this park is. I know where Poliwog Park is...oh I just looked it up, it is across from Poliwog.

Also did you see my post for the Halloween party in LA it is the day before and I and 2 guests are attending it..and we are going as pyrates.
