Patrick Hand Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Ok... there are a lot of funny spam post..... but I don't wanna reply to any of them, or I maight incourage them to keep posting...... Paris Hilton nude...... "what again ? " So I figure having a thread where we can comment and laugh about the stupid spam might be fun.......
Silkie McDonough Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Thanks Patrick ....I have a few words on the subject myself. I send the links to the Mod's as soon as I see them. I haven't been told not to so ...I THINK I may be helping. I also don't just view them I click on the poster's name then "view all posts by this member" then I see the link without adding to the count of viewers (don't know if this makes a difference either.) Anyway, that is when I see the entire post ...has anyone noticed that the ones with the nudes are the head stuck on random bodies? The bodies aren't even the same build as each other let alone as the actress! Notice also that the hair is sometimes hanging straight to her shoulders even though she is leaning forward?" I can't wait to see one where they use the same body with a different face! lol Well, I can wait but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened!
Misson Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I send the links to the Mod's as soon as I see them. I haven't been told not to so ...I THINK I may be helping. Better to report them to us than not. To be honest, the first thing I do when I log on is clean the spam nests out. Continue to report them anyway, it can only help. That one from yesterday, something about Spanish Gay Sex...now that's what I call niche marketing. Patrick Hand Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 That one from yesterday, something about Spanish Gay Sex. That was the one I was going to comment on...... Didn't Morgan say somethig kinda like that when they were attacking Panama? Yah... when a spammer post something, I don't want to reply, because I know the Moderators are going to be removing the post..... but some of the titles are kinda funny......
Misson Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Yah, me too. That's why I edited that one written in gobbledegook so the links were gone - that way I could play with it. (Silkie called it "Thieves Cant" when reporting one of them ) Unfortunately only mods can edit other posts, tho'. If you find something particularly choice, go ahead and comment on it - if it's pretty funny, I'll edit the links out. We may as well have some fun at their expense, eh? (If you're just going to complain about the post, however, don't bother. Trust me, they're probably annoying me far more than they'll ever annoy you because they create work for me. I have to go through, capture their names and IP addys, send a pm off to Booty and then delete the thread - which is a multi-step process. Ransom Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I only posted on one, because the name the spammer was using sounded like a STD, which I thought was quite fitting, considering what they were spamming for. Mostly I just ignore them, but the tag lines are pretty funny. Also, I think "they" are the only ones who spell worse than I do. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... Misson Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 This one was kinda funny.... Christina Aguilerachristina poses for fhm and shows us certain parts of his body I thought Christina Aguilera was a female....... Drat.... now I find out he posed for fhm (whoever they are) and shows off his body........ FHM is one of the new breed of ADD-writing-style men's magazines that show racy (but, not as far as I'm aware, naked) pictures of the stream of young girls who flow ceaselessly through the entertainment industry. A guy I roomed with on a trip either had that or Maxim or something like that which he procured for the plane trip. (How can such possibly fill a 14 hour plane trip? A question for another day...) Is C.A. really all that shy about showing "certain parts of his [or her] body?" From what little I've seen about her, it would seem to be her stock in trade. That's actually what I found funny about the post. Here's a regular newsstand magazine reference and a comment about an woman who doesn't seem exactly shy... Why follow some random link to find that? They're better off with C.A.'s head pasted on some random naked model's body. (I'm sure Google images will find the FHM pics for you. Probably in the first page.) Skull pyrate Carter Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 why not set up script that stops new users from posting with the smiley face icon... it seems to be how they always do it.
Silkie McDonough Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I have a new term for the porn spammers ...Sporn. Like the Sparrow clones ...Splones
Misson Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 why not set up script that stops new users from posting with the smiley face icon... it seems to be how they always do it. I've suggested it, but it's up to the board admin to do that. I also see a pattern of sorts to their usernames. It's awfully subtle, though. That'd be harder to catch. FWIW, we could also lose some legitimate posts that way. Patrick Hand Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 Cool... another one.... What is a payday loan online Could it be a scam ?....... or Spam.... Or maybe Spcam..... Scpam..... scam spam........spamscam (nah... that sounds like another kinda Spam...."Porno Spam cams".....
Misson Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I took it to be a philosophical question. For example: What...is a payday loan on-line?I should answer that it is a loan, given before the day of pay, on-line. And if I went on to say: That is what I desire to know; tell me what is the quality of the loan, given before the day of pay, on-line;-would you be able to answer? I should. And so of the virtues, however many and different they may be, of this loan taken on-line before the day of pay, they have all a common nature which makes them virtues; and on this he who would answer the question, "What is a payday loan on-line?" would do well to have his eye fixed: Do you understand? I am beginning to understand; but I do not as yet take hold of the question as I could wish. When you say, that there is one virtue of a loan taken on-line, another of one taken off-line, another of a loan taken walking the line, and so on, does this apply only to virtue, or would you say the same of other loans? Or is the nature of loans always the same, whether on- or off-line? I should say that loan is the same, both in on- and off-. And is not this true of walking the line? If a loan is strong, it will be strong by reason of the same form and of the same strength subsisting in its linability. I mean to say that strength of the loan, as strength, whether of on- or off-line, is the same. Is there any difference? I think not. And will not the virtue of the loan, as virtue, be the same, whether in dollars or in yen, in on- or off-line status? I cannot help feeling that this case is different from the others. But why? Were you not saying that the virtue of a loan on-line was to order a state, and the virtue of a loan off-line was to order a house? I did say so. And can either house or state or anything be well ordered without temperance and without justice? Certainly not. Then they who order a state or a house temperately or justly order them with temperance and justice? Certainly. Then both on- and off-line loans, if they are to be good on- and off-line loans, must have the same virtues of temperance and justice? True. And can either a payday loan or an other than payday loan be good, if they are intemperate and unjust? They cannot. They must be temperate and just? Yes. Then all loans are good in the same way, and by participation in the same virtues? Such is the inference. And they surely would not have been good in the same way, unless their virtue had been the same? They would not. Then now that the sameness of all virtue has been proven, try and remember what you say that virtue is. Will you have one definition of them all? That is what I am seeking. If you want to have one definition of them all, I know not what to say, but that virtue is the power of governing mankind. Have you noticed that we have gone from talking about payday loans on-line to governing mankind? I have. Too bad I wasn't around when the web was. I could have taught those modern-day monkeys a thing or two about changing topics. It is as you say. You do not suppose anyone has actually read this far, do you? No, I cannot see how it is possible. So I could say any darned thing I like. For example, have you noticed that the statue that Ptuiologis carved of me has no eyeballs? I have indeed. Who ever heard of a statue with no eyeballs? I think it is pretty creepy. You are right. So I have decided that now that I have whipped you into responding exactly as I want to everything I say by shifting the balance of the argument from you doing all the talking to me doing all the taking, I will order you to go and draw some eyeballs on that statue. You should do it at midnight, so you do not get nicked. Of course this is wise. Etc. Very clear thinking on the part of the poster, summing it up as he and/or she has. Yup.
