So Wot's your addiction

Recommended Posts

These are just some of the delicacies I have witnessed over the years at Baconfest.

Bacon Pie made with heavy cream

Bacon stuffed mushrooms with garlic

16 bean soup with Bacon

Bacon stuffed jalapenos with cream cheese

Bacon quiche

Bacon filled croissants

Chinese rice with Bacon

Bacon stuffing with dark olives

And yes...chocolate dipped bacon. I kid you not. We expected it to be either very good or very bad. It was rather boring. Bacon and chocolate sort of cancel one another out.

ad·dic·tion

–noun

the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.

I do have some addictions but I would not consider a relationship an addiction.

After all, "It's all 'bout the food!"

Okay, how do you take part in the Baconfest West, if you are in the Northwest? Will there be BLTs, will there be clam chowder with diced bacon, will there be...well, just crispy bacon, tomatoes, and potato fry up?

I'm with Black Syran regarding Halloween! Love the idea of dressing up and going out - wait?! That's half the reason I do living history

Anyway, I just love visiting New England for Halloween. Not the same out here in the midwest.

Anyway...Shoes! Lots of them, too! I can remember when I was young and single that I had about 45 pairs of various shoes/boots/pump/wedges and whatever esle you could think of in my closet. Times have changed...I'm lucky I have 20 now.

MMmmm, I have been giving this some very serious thought as to what my addictions are. I seem to have so many of them it is hard to narrow them down.

So my first addiction would be Men. They can be just so delicious and wicked.

Sterling sorry these grand horses are too small for you..Truly magnificent horses...

Yeah I need more of along the lines of 16.3 or taller... Trakehners are not bad... over in England I had a great little cross between Thoroughbred and Shire... just right...

I love the oddballs that don't turn white with age... I also have a pair of the spurs used by the riders... supposedly copied from late 17th century...
