blackjohn Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I saw a couple nice period cutlasses this weekend. Snapped a few shots when the guard walked out of the room. Shame on me. http://www.piratebrethren.com/articles/cut...utlasspics.html My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.
capnwilliam Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I always like for people to see real, or pictures of real, cutlasses: shows 'em they were not really the wickedly curved scimitars Hollywood would have us believe. Capt. William "The fight's not over while there's a shot in the locker!"

"I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
