BriarRose Kildare Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Ahhh, a nice hot cup of Irish Breakfast Tea. Rumba Rue Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 My pen-pal in Canada just sent me a whole bunch of tea. Uh, for a coffee drinker who only rarely drinks tea I'm not sure what to do with all of it.... Anybody want a huge bag of mint tea, bags of jasmine, and green tea?
Perkeo Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I wouldn't mind taking some off your hands. Help Pyrate Minicity grow, click a link below! Pyrate Population Pyrate Transportation Pyrate Industry http://pyrate.myminicity.com/sec
BriarRose Kildare Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 My pen-pal in Canada just sent me a whole bunch of tea. Uh, for a coffee drinker who only rarely drinks tea I'm not sure what to do with all of it.... Anybody want a huge bag of mint tea, bags of jasmine, and green tea? Oooh, I'll take some. I love jasmine and green teas. Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all. Rumba Rue Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I sent all the jasmine teas to Perko, sorry. The mint tea is gone so all I have left is a rather beat up box of green tea that was sent to me (my pen-pal doesn't exactly wrap things the best way...), and I'll keep it.
'Bastian Devareaux Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Latte...or a true Cappuccino. (Not that swill that is called by same said name readily had at most gas stations....tsk tsk) They call me a Coffee Snob at the Job; I retort that my tastes are refined. JohnnyTarr Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 I am looking for some change in my life. I am allmost out of coffee. Now as you all know I blend Altera French Roast with Chickorry and I drink this black. Any sugjestions on what would be good and where I could find it? Git up of your asses, set up those glasses I'm drinking this place dry.
'Bastian Devareaux Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 In regard to a chicory blend, might I suggest Cafe' Du Monde or another called French Market, both from New Orleans with long standing histories. Rumba Rue Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 How does that coffee taste? It looks interesting.
Perkeo Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 When ever I got to New Orleans it is the first and last place I visit. Of course one year I was short on money and had breakfast, lunch and dinner there...I didn't sleep for 2 days.... The coffee is very yummy!!!! Johnny Tarr...I would come over to share some coffee with ya, but it would be a bit of a drive.... Help Pyrate Minicity grow, click a link below! 'Bastian Devareaux Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 In regard to flavor, one might class it as a rather bold and dark flavor. But, here is were the chicory comes in, it eliminates the bitter taste which plagues most dark roasts. It cannot be compared to most that one might be used to, rather unique in its' qualities...Not like a Columbian or a French Roast, it is Creole and a magic all unto itself. In truth, I find the French Market brand a smallish milder in flavor, which is not what I would call a bad thing. As for the notorious Cafe au Lait...The can you receive should tell you how to conjure it in the confines of you own humble Galley. ( If not, I shall be happy to pass along the how to...) Bon Appetit, non? It is time to pause, even so early, for this account is not intended to be about my life...but is, as I have said, about my life's secrets. Black Nate Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 What you all need is some REAL Navy Coffee. It'll take chrome off a bumper but boy is it good. I don't know what's in it, but wow. ~Black Nate~ A ship in a puddle is better than no ship at all Dear Saint Brendan, to mention your name is to recall much travelling. It was in relation to voyages that you emerged as a popular Saint. The Irish became great travelers thus spreading their faith everywhere. Protect not only mariners but also all those who go down to the sea in ships. Amen.
