  5. Snicker and a side note., I am currently drinking pineapple parrot bay and dont recommend it (it was on sale) I believe I will try the mango parrot bay next !!!
  6. In refrence I call it garb., but really I prefer to call it clothing., cause its what it is. I think of a costume as a sort of one night inexpensively made type outfit. A good muslin shirt and cotton pants and real leather boots to me is hardly a costume. Clothing., I would definitely say period clothing., you can run tumble fumble .,drink !!! fall down., work and even frolic in them., no costume is going to hold up to all this piratin' abuse.
  7. The 14th sounds the best., with both Krewes Portalnd and Seattle goin' ., But its too late weve already now confirmed for the 4th., perhaps a few pirate types will straggle in., I hope so or I and the 3 accompnnying me will be the only pirates in town that date. Whatever happens we'll make the most of it. Dificult for me to get my party to go into a wind blown squaler and call it a good time when its one of the few times they get to get into garb and a day on the Washington. Probably now that weve changed the rains will too. Itll be clear for the 14th., and we'll be wet on the 4th ?
  8. I failed to see Desert Pirates post prior to my own posting and have now scheduled our 4 person reservation to June 4th's Battle re-enactment. Thanks Desert Pirate for having the wisdom to post schedules !
  9. I just checked the weather report It is going to rain., Hard on Saturday., We cancelled out. I am hoping to get a lady washington schedule for the june sail however their schedule seems to be down Typical Washington weather again We were hoping for a clear or cloudy day.,with a camera and a camcorder dressed in our finest for a battle re-enactment., been waiting for a long time for this one...,disapointed
  10. Actually its not really POTC that I use for accuracy. There are other movies., for example one being say Rob Roy. That said the many coats used by Montrose as well as his factor.,or the swordsman., and others on the english side all had LARGE cuffs. Also in the Beginning of Cutthroat Island when Matthew Modine was at the ball stealing. LARGE CUFFS were afforded by people with $$$$ ....,poverty (Peasants) had simple designs). The wealthy business types and Nobility had tailors that were including more style. In later years obviously the cuff size reduced. I think its a great Coat Misery., and actually more accurate than many. (What is accurate when they were all custom made and none photographed) I think its on the money.
