  1. A damn shame, me lad. It's high time ye were dustin' off that old guitar and usin' yer pipes t' sing some roarin' chanteys.

If ye are ever up Seattle way, ye're always welcome at the Wawona chantey sing, 2nd Friday of every month. We have a great time and love pressin' people inta singin'. :)

    Fair winds,

    Trapper

Trapper, where be I goin'te find out more bout'this shanty singin'? I live in Kingston (Wa!) and would love to hear some songs of the sea!

  2. Aye Cap'n Slappy, what be the dates n'times. Perhaps a website with all the info? I'd be lovin'te see the show (and drink the beer if I be gettin'me hands on it 'efore these scurvy dogs drink it all!)

Maybe me mum would drive me.....Arrrr!

  3. Can't believe I be missin'this topic. I love music, punk rock in particular, some other stuff too like metal (older bands mostly), some Jazz, some oldies, a few pop-punk bands (Don't tell any of me friends I said that now!)

I play guitar, got a Fender Strat (bright red beauty, hope to get a black pick guard for 'er one of these days). Also have a crappy old acustic I got for ten bucks, I'm savin'up for a new one.

Also tried my hand at harmonica. I hated it. I've been thinking about trying it again though. Always had an interest in the violin too.

*Excited jumping* Any other Metallica fans in here? I can't wait to see them in March! My guitar teachers taking me, couldn't believe I got a ride and all. Very happy. I spent the $50 that was suppose to buy me clothes on the ticket  *Sigh* I love concerts. They makes me so happy *sniff*.

  4. I suppose I'd be willin' to put my 2 pence in & offer makin' some outfits for people. I can do them by hand or with machine, ladies or gents attire. A couple examples of my handy work... are on the pubs album. Just look for CptnAnastaziaBlackheart.. that be me & the attire I have done. I have a couple more than I hope to upload to display soon. I like to customise an outfit to help create a look that is fantastic. I'm still adding to that black clad pirate captain's outfit. But... I should say, it's nearly finished! Cheap.. I've had TONS of compliments & several people take pictures of it... & I love it! Comfy as all get out.

Lady Barbossa, I love that black shirt of yours! Beautiful sleeves, nice style. Also like the black coat. Did you make em both then? I'd be interested in a shirt like that.

  5. Hmmm...I kind of like the Calico Jack Coat better than the Le Capaitne Coat. But I guess I go for the less 'flashy" look. <_< I do have a soft spot for velvet though, both are beautiful. Afraid If I was to spend 600 bucks though, it'd be for a new acustic guitar *Counts dabloons* only $599 dollars away!!! Woohoo!!!

  6. The drinking. Duh.

    :o

I was drawn into pyracy by the historical fascination. the way they ruled themselves. But then I found websites like this and found some modern day pirates that are really weird and fun, and I like weird. :) So I became hooked.

Plus I just love saying Arrrr!

Capp'n Slappy!!! I love TLAPD!!! Best holiday in the world! :o

  7. Yay! *Pours mugs o'rum for all* I got my POTC DvD a couple days ago! Thought I'd have to wait fo awhile but one o'me heartys got it for me as an early Christmas present! No matter how many times I watch it I want to watch it again.

That deleated scene when Jack shows Elizabeth his scars was kinda sad. Poor Mr. Sparrow. Ah, now that I have the POTC song (from the ride) I'm gonna learn it all! And sing it everyday with me crew! Seriously.

  8. I can't wait for that DVD! I saw the movie three times in theaters (Woulda gone more times but I be nothin'more than an underpaid fifteen year old and aven'got the money!) I really want to see the extras! Unfortunatly because of me low wages I may be havin t'wait till Christmas....arrr.

They've already started work on the second movie (I think), that's going to be a hard one to wait for.

  9. We be readin'about pirates and privateers in me history class and I'm a bit confused as to when pyracy was "legalized" and when it stopped being legal.

It started during Queen Elizabeth's rule and privateers went after Spanish ships right? But what happened after that? There were privateers during the Golden Age weren't there? Was it a kind of an on and off thing?

Anybody know of any websites that could maybe help me out with this? Any help is welcomed with e'mug o'rum!

I've been waiting for us to study pirates since the class began! Best subject for a report as far as I'm concerned.

One other question thats been nagging me for a long time: I see the word Pirate spelled with a Y too, was it originally "Pirate" or "Pyrate" or both?

    Thanks!
