Sounds good Wolfy Wench!!!! I will be making a documentary this weekend with a professional Jack Sparrow.. he is so talented!!( He is Mr Depp's twin too)! I dunno if he can make this event or not. Got any pics of you all in costume to share?? Rumba Rue, Like I said I was invited down by the PRP this year to this event with the tallships... so I wont be inviting myself and a big group of non members. So we should all have a blast. Never been camping before.. I will be staying in a Hotel room next to the Marina. But will surely join in the after festivities!! :) Cheers!! Talk at you next week! Gabrielle

Well.. I read someone that Hook was actually screwed over by the love of his life.. (when he was 19) which made his final decision to run away and become a pirate. So with that in mind it shifts this point a little. But some of the metaphors fit still. Gabby

I will be in the group that day hanging out with some PRP freinds. I can't wait.. I havent seen them since Key West!! I think some lasses are going too that post here! We will all have to meet up!! Nigel and I share the same opinion on Key West too. Kinda like being in a different world (I think they call it paradise) Paradise for pirates right Nigel?? And OHHH that sunset down there!! And we can't forget the Captain Morgan apple cider!!!

I just bought my plane tickets .. I am so excited!! Like I said when the Toshiba event was by my house I missed it,,.. and it is coming back here like 2010 or something. Argggggggggggggggggg!! I just booked me passage to California for this wonderful event!! It came to Florida 2 years ago for the first time in like 10 years..(down the street from my house too!!) I still remember how me and the family swelled up with tears when we pulled up and saw the great tallships sailing in against the sunlight!! All you could see was their sillouette (sails and all) against the bright light. It was breathtaking. I didn't get to see all the festivities.. it is going to be different this year!!! Sniff sniff.. I am tearing up already!!! Anyone else be going??? Gabrielle

I used the metal boning for my gowns.. I got sick of replacing the old ones that were plastic boning. I have been making these dresses since I was 11... so I am at the point I don't need patterns for anyone and can do any era. The golden age of sail is my favorite for sure!!! If she is totally uncomfortable with the traditional corset (they arent for everyone and can even be dangerous for some) she can go with a corset from Frederick's of Hollywood. The have some that are made from material that stretches after a while so you can breath but hold you in place. (Guys stop reading this LOL) Cool story Iron Bess.. that is the best place to meet yer mate... on the job in your favorite era so to speak.. Gabrielle

I know what you mean!! I had a frined say to me once that this pirate was so dreamy and handsome !! I said.. that is wasn't enough for me... the man could be a total black heart and have a bad reputation for bedding wenches. Why then should I fall at his feet??
