You believe in doing what you love, and you're not willing to settle for an ordinary life. Your scores: Talent: 49% Lifer: 46% Mandarin: 44% Anybody disagreeing will be shot with marshmellows....
  2. Depending on what type of phone you have, you might not be able to put any other music sounds on it except what it comes with. I found out the hard way when I got my new Verizon phone and wanted to put something else on for a ringtone...and discovered I couldn't. Then you have to deal with sites that are now ripping off people and not giving what they pay for.
  3. Hey Iron Bess, keep me posted on the vendor section for next year ok? Thanks, Rumba Rue
  4. I find it amazing you've reached the age you are, You've been near and far, From cartoons to beer and rum, Your cranky and cheerful threads are strange, But I guess you've got a your head in the mountain range. So with that I'll say, Have a good one and Happy Birthday!
  5. ROTFLMAF!!!!! Poor Amy.........
  6. I actually managed to catch up a wee bit when at a hotel in Amarillo, Texas (about a week ago) had a couple of computers in their lobby to use. I couldn't log in, but I tried to read up on what had been going on. Seemed everything was normal or what was taken for normal..... It was so good to meet many of the Pub members, I won't ever forget what a great time I had at the con. Rumba P.S. to Merrydeath, your friends tried to get together with me to share a drink, but it just never happened. However I did give something to one to give to you, I hope you have received it, otherwise ask about the small package in the purple paper.
  7. Well kids, I'm back! We took over 700 hundred pictures before the picture card in the camera was filled up and we didn't have another camera card to put it, so Boats was taking pictures with his cell phone camera. What an incredible time, from the day we left to the day we came home we got to see things we would have never seen had we not gone. Pyrate Con was outstanding! I don't know the official count of how many 'paid' pirates there were, but there certainly were plenty there who didn't pay at the con - names not to be mentioned ...ever. The parade on Saturday of the con was 4 blocks long and the streets and balconies on Bourbon Street were filled with people. What an incredible site. Everywhere you went in New Orleans French Quarter area, there were pirates, it was great! As soon as I can cull out the pictures that were crummy, I'll get them posted somewhere so you can all see them. Rumba Rue
  8. Best representation I've seen in a long time!
  9. Uh, not going through Arkansas..... Black Syren, we did look on our map and trip route and truly considered it and though we will sort of be near Austin, we are not going that way and it will take us more time to travel to you and back to our route. Sorry, I do wish we could come and see you. But I'll give you a big toast at the con! Lots of hugs to you girlfriend!
  10. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! I am so excited about leaving for Pyrate Con, I can barely sit still!
  11. PYRATE CON HERE I COME!!!! New Orleans will never be the same again!!!!
  12. Thanks for the info, I had read this in our paper. I was wondering if the French ship was going to be let go.
  13. I'm leaving early Sunday morning, April 13, and heading east, by car. We are going first to Tombstone, Arizona, then onto Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, see sights along the way through Texas and into Louisiana for the Con. Afterwards we're heading for Amarillo, Texas where Boat's son lives, then through New Mexico, Santa Fe, Taos, up into Colorado, over to 4 Points, down through Arizona again, then up to Las Vegas and the Luxor (they made us a deal on a spa suite we couldn't pass up), then home on May 3. We have reservations at a dozen or so state campgrounds along the way; we sleep in the van. Though a couple of places we are hotel/motel-ing it due to no campgrounds around. As some of you may have already noticed, I asked the Admins. to put Blackhearted Pearl on as my substitute while gone. I will not have access to a computer, so no checking in while on the road. Everybody be nice to Blackhearted Pearl, otherwise she may hang you up by your toes! Adios All! Rumba Rue Pyrate Con, here I come!
  14. Got all the costumes packed, most everything else too. Just some odds and ends to deal with.
  15. My three birds have no fear of my cats. The two bigger ones will bite them if they get too close or just ignore them. The parakeet however does have his flight feathers and can fly away from them. The cats tend to like the little parakeet over the bigger ones, but I am never in fear of them eating him, he's smart enough to get away.
  16. Helpful hint: When posting about stuff for sale, it's always good to have either pictures with the post or have a link to see pictures of sale goods. You just have to know people are going to ask to see pictures.
  17. I wants the bird! (from another parrot lover) Great pictures mate!
  18. Ah, another landlocked pirate from Okiehomie....yes there are other pirates in your home state. Welcome to the Pub! I'll have some Rootbeer Schnapps.
  19. No pictures eh? Got a camera phone?
