  1. I see Captain Syn! Wish I had gotten tickets this year, but alas the pocket book is being drained by the lawyers.

Aye, Stranglehold represents each year. Unfortunately they are on the opposite wall of all the Star Wars tables where I was at all week.

Although me old bones be getting too tired to run that table every year; at 125,000 attendees the con is beginning to suffer from its own popularity.

  2. A couple years back, I got some cocoa-puffs and put em around the tree and told the kids it was reighndeer poo. Then I grabbed a few and ate 'em! They still think it was poo!

    Bo

We used chocolate-covered raisins for our "reindeer poop" with our kids. :P

    Happy KwanzChrismaKa!

  3. It says central California for his location, now I'm wondering where he is that it snows? :D

People forget that California has mountains. The tallest mountain in the contiguous US (lower 48) is in Central California (Mount Whitney, 14.505 feet), and the inactive volcanoes in Northern California (Mount Shasta, Mount Lassen) are part of the Pacific Ring of Fire.

So yes, California DOES get snow.

  4. One of my Star Wars friends has an auction up on e-Bay for a 4-piece buckle set. Here's the description:

  5. It was about this time last year, son #2 found my Imperial Guard helmet, and suddenly wanted to play dress-ups. So we came up with this impromptu costume.

Let me know when he turns 18, we'll get him signed up for the 501st Stormtrooper Legion.

Great costumes, everyone. I agree that the royal baby is the hands-down winner. Although Rumba's peacock dress is outstanding. :D

  6. I have some obscure movies I really love:

It Happened One Night - my father's favorite, and mine; a classic

The Quiet Man - my favorite John Wayne movie

The Blues Brothers - not that obscure, but the best car chase scene EVER

The Rocketeer - very underrated movie that should have done better

The Man From Snowy River - absolutely gorgeous to watch

Zathura - what Jamanji should have been

And my guilty pleasure, Spaced Invaders - so stupid it's funny

  7. Continued due to picture limitations:

    Professor McGonigal and Harry Potter

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of me in my Star Fleet Admiral costume.
