That is amazing man. I loved that. I think that is a great thing. Maybe one day i actually go to a non sca or ren faire event and entertain some people it would be fun.

I'm just curious and was lost. I think i found a happy medium. I love the gaop and i love learning about it. Yea i don't know much but thats why im young hahaha.

I've accepted the fact that if i did real piracy i'd be happy until death which would be years or months. But i found that i'd love to sail the ocean and maybe enjoy the freedom the ocean has to offer while entertaining myself with Re-enactment and making period type clothing.

I wouldn't be living a lie. I would be living a dream that has some boundaires. Thank you. I figured this all out last night at like 1am.

Re-enacting to me is like a video to the us kids. You Can get good at swordfighting or a shot with a pistol or being the most feared sword fighter.That list can go on but you get my point.

I have a couple questions about this culture of "us"?

Do you guys have a love of the sea and want to be free but only use props and clothing to escape life?

Do you guys have a love of the sea and want to be free but don't want to choose the real life of a pirate?

Do you guys enjoy risk free pirate life that the modern culture has made fer us?

It doesn't matter if they're from Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, San Ysidro, Eastlake, National City, Downtown San Diego, Coronado, El Cajon, Mission Bay/Beach/Valley, Mira Mesa, Kearny Mesa, La Mesa, Spring Valley, Escondido, Carlsbad, San Marcos, or any other town in the county of San Diego...you are all invited to be a part of the coalition. If you're not from around San Diego, or were but no longer are, and would join us as comrades, you are welcome as well. Crewmates of any pirate crew, in or out of town, are all welcome to be a part of the coalition.

Because of my age (17) I've always been looked down upon on historical Pirate boards/forums, and based only on my age, some people tend to think I am a Pirates of the Caribbean groupie as opposed to a real pirate fan. She's SEVENTEEN, she can't possibly know the MEANING of real Pirates?! Now I'm most definatley not putting anyone here down, or saying that everyone here does this. It has just been my past experience is all.

So, to set the record straight:

NO. I am not a POTC groupie in the slightest. True, I enjoy the movies, but real Pirates are my true calling, and have been ever since I visited the Outer Banks in NC. I admire, in particular, Anne Bonny, because I relate to her alot, more than I can explain.

So thank you for not judging, and so I shall repost my pictures. And of course, no offence meant :).

With regards to hatcrafters, I had purchased a hat there a while back, very superb indeed, but as of lately it fell into a lake and has thus lost its hardness and form, would steaming help give the hat it's form back?

yes and seawater cause i did tht to mine and lost alot of hardness and i got from the beach yesterday nite brung my hat home now it's stiff when i got it new2
