  1. I've got a bunch of PotC merchandising, with Jack on it, because I don't mind Jack :)

But none of it is that godaweful pink and assorted.

I saw a nice t-shirt in the US Disney store that was black with a purple Elisabeth print, but I'm not going to order anything from there now, I'm going to Disneyland Paris in October so I'm going to check out their merchandise there :)

With some luck they'll have some good stuff.

The UK Disney Store in London had a t-shirt that had Jones on it btw. Well I think it was Barbossa, Jack and Davey Jones but I can't remember it entirely. I do remember it was in their kids range (but that runs big, hell the 12 year old stuff fits me).

  2. Well could you give us a link to where you are hosting the pictures then?

Putting pictures up in the pub is easy.

I'll give you a step by step rundown of how I usually do it:

    Go to http://www.flickr.com

    Make an account

When you have made said account, upload photos.

When you have uploaded the photos, click the thumbnail of the photo you want to post on this forum.

Flickr will open the photo in a larger size in a new page.

Above said larger photo you will see the following: add note, send to group, add to set, blog this, all sizes, order prints, rotate and delete.

From that menu, choose all sizes by clicking that option.

Flickr will then open a page which gives you the following options (above your photo):

square, thumbnail, small, medium, large, original (unless it's a small sized photo, then it might drop medium and/or large)

From that menu, choose either small or medium by clicking that option.

It will then show, in the same page, the photo in the size you have selected.

Underneath the photo you will see:

To link to this photo on other websites you can either:

    1. Copy and paste this HTML into your webpage (followed by the url)

    2. Grab the photo's URL: (again, followed by the url).

Take the URL from OPTION 2.

    Paste said URL here.

Highlight said url in the same way you would highlight something for copy, paste.

    Then click the image button.

That should allow you to post a picture in this forum.

I always do it that way and it always works for me.

  3. If'n ye get the custom order I don't think ye'll have that issue since yer givin' them your foot measurements. That is what I did years ago and the boots turned out superb. In fact, I will be orderin' another pair coming up.

Now, if we kin convince em to start makin' the shoes we need...

    thesagelion.com

Well I gove them my foot measurement, along with the size I usually wear in both UK (5) and EUR (38) sizes.

Over email a girl called April told me I need a US 7.5, which corresponds with a EUR 38 according to my Moleskine size chart (which hasn't let me down so far).

When I read here that their sizes usually run big I decided to give them a ring.

After having been passed around and being kept on hold, I was told I have a 5.5 in their sizes. Which corresponds with a EUR 36, that's two sizes smaller than I usually wear.

Still, the fact that two people in the same company have given me a different size doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

I'm not entirely sure I want to order from them now because $ 435 is a LOT of money to waste on a pair of boots that won't fit ><

  4. I'm actually on the verge of ordering a custom pair from them, but now that I've read that they run a bit big size wise, I'm going to hold off untill I've spoken to them on the phone.

I normally wear a EUR 38, which is a 6.5, 7 in US sizes, but they first told me it would correspond to a US 7.5 over email.

I'm a bit worried now, because I don't want to end up with a pair that is too big yet again B)

  5. Well there's caboots.com, who offer custom sized and off the rack models.

There's a thread about them somewhere on the forum, but I've heard a lot of good things about them.

I'm saving up for a pair myself.

Mainly because it would be nice to have a pair that _isn't_ 3 sizes too big.

  6. Got me a fine pair from a company called Black Knight.

Me thinks they were meant for the winter winds, but thar not

be much tread fer that. Fer pyracy they be just splendid! ;)

Well let's see a picture of those fabulous boots then!

  7. As it (Nervewhere) was made for Television, the production value isn't what it could be, but I still enjoyed it immensely.

Oh I am aware of this abomination. I make brave attempts to erase it from my memory.

The Markies rocked, and that's about all the good things I can say about it.

I want a proper Neverwhere movie dammit! :)

  8. No offence to those that liked the book and movie (different tastes and all) but despite the wonderful cast of the movie, I'm going to give it a pass just because I dislike the book so much.

  9. Kinda like D&D, but instead of rolling dice, you get to hit other people using boffer swords and such....

That entirely depends on what kind of LARP you play.

You've got fantasy live: which is the boffer/latex weapons one.

And then there's an entire lot of other systems.

Old World of Darkness live is via rock-paper-scissors challenges, and the New World of Darkness uses a D10 to do challenges.

I play Camarilla (World of Darkness) LARP, and while we're allowed to bring boffer weapons, they're purely as props :)

  10. I would like to get a small skull & crossbones tattoo on my right wrist, eventually I'll get around to it I'm sure :)

I have 4 tattoos so far, but none of them are pirate tattoos.

I have a small Chinese dragon on my right upper arm, an Italian fire lizard on the underside (don't know how else to explain it in English) of my right arm (close to the wrist, but not on the wrist), a Celtic dragon on the middle of my upper back (close to my neck) and Lenore, the cute little dead girl (from the comics by Roman Dirge) on the left side of my lower back :)

I love tattoos, I want to get quite a few more :)
