  1. Which brings up another point, when do the guys get some good GAoP inspired clothing... instead of the garb we pull together? Just doesn't seem fair

I've only been making stuff for men since, oh, LAST year

And possibly even before that :)

  2. I own two watches with skulls :)

My daily wear wrist watch, which is a flik flak (yes I know, it's a children's watch, but I have thin wrists and I like it):

And my PotC pocket watch which I got over eBay:

  3. You might find these too expensive (you probably will actually) but I'll post them here anyway.

The thing is, it's better to save longer and spend more on a shoe that will fit you perfectly, than to spend less on something not as good.

    Anyway: Andy Burke's shoes:

    Sarah Juniper shoes: http://www.sarahjuniper.co.uk/

A girl on a costume community on livejournal actually went along with a pair of bridal shoes (but she was improvising on a different period) so that might be worth looking into.

I'm a boots type of girl myself so I'm afraid this is as much help as I can be, I hope you found it at least slightly helpful.

  4. I will however, defend their rights to do the show. I don't have to like it, watch it or even care about it.

But they have the right to do it for those who might enjoy the nonsense.

People without on going work or jobs end up on the needy list just as fast as those who require ongoing charitable help.

And if this keeps them off the unemployment line well... more power to 'em say's I.

    Hear hear!

    I absolutely agree with you!

  5. Well I've had my custom pair of Sparrow boots for a while and I love them.

I went with Pogue and Angel's advice to go with the womens 7,5 and I haven't regretted that :)

Here's some things I experienced with the boots that seem worthwhile sharing:

You need one of those long shoe pull on things (bare with me, my first language is Dutch and I have no clue what schoenlepel is in English) to get in your boots. Trust me, it's easier to get in them that way, much much easier.

Also, if you break them in, wear thin socks.

I got mine just when it started freezing and wore them with snow socks (which are MUCH thicker than my normal socks) which ment I had to break them in all over again with normal socks.

(if you end up doing what I did, I advise plasters to put on your heels preventively, or sports tape to put over your socks so you don't get blisters while rebreaking them in).

Photos when I finally get 'round to taking some :)

  6. I own several pairs of bucket boots :)

Although admittedly 2 of the pairs are only being kept because they're still good for photoshoots (and that's all their good for really).

My bucket boots from caboots.com I wear pretty much all the time, no matter where I'm going :)
