  1. The Captain has gone through the photos and has chosen 175 that he thinks may be painting worthy for next PiP!

Challenge of the day for the first painting:

Copper Nigel of Bone Island Crewe vs. Baby Charlie pouting for rum.

Register your votes! Look on the website for images!

You can also post your favorite photos for painting consideration by using the numbers like above.

The paintings will be used to select our "Poster Pirates" for next year's marketing and possibly for the PiP Calendar Project.

Let's see a show of hands... no pistols please

  2. Now that there be a plan lass!! 1/2 way to PiP gatherin' o' the bretheren, we would sure enjoy that!! Perhaps even a planning meeting of sorts? What sort of location? We wouldn't mind havin' folks to Indiana, and we have 5 acres to camp on. Thoughts?

  3. Permission to use all photos as ye see fit, myspace, business cards, flyers to promote events and pub. Whatever ye need, to ensure your success and happiness!

Thanks to all who took time out to pose for us and make these wonderful pictures possible. We want to work out some specific photo op times for group shots, and now thanks to William and his flag crewe, we have a backdrop that can be set up in advance. :D

  4. DON'T ORDER DVD'S FROM THE SITE!! PLEASE!! (Ask Hurricane...) They will be offered for free to all pyrates from PIP at PIP next year. Email me personally for details if you need them sooner, and we can work out a plan to get you one sooner.

Captain Callahan is still processing pictures and things for the finalized DVD, which will take us some time to get completed. BUT.. The pictures are up!! B)

  5. Captain Callahan asked me to post that the large files in the Events folder on our site contain the Green Flash and a Blue Flash. These are very large files and are able to be downloaded, but may be slow to load. They are large, so that you can zoom in to see the brilliant colors of a true Key West Green Flash! B)

    Enjoy!

  6. Fully stocked first aid kit was in Captain's Tent (Spike / Bone Island Tent) and was portable for battle situations. I will make several smaller versions for the different camps/battle areas. How many do we need to have? My Lifesquad will provide materials. We want to have as much safety equipment as anyone feels necessary. I was also involved in a couple of minor injury issues, overall though, very safe atmosphere for as much dangerous stuff that was abound. Perhaps also a list of trained personnel from each camp? Thoughts?

  7. Photos coming along nicely, we are going to have the "Pub" shots up asap, hopefully by tonight. We are efforting to get at least a first album up on our website. Will post as soon as we get them up. There are many really great photos! So many photogenic pyrates ;) Working as fast as we can on them, know everyone is anxious to see!

  8. The Callahans, Crewe of the Sacred Heart have arrived safely to home port in Indiana. We have tons of great pictures to work through and will hopefully have the first of many albums up this weekend.

Mission- We have your small notebook, it was left in our camp. Probably fell our o' yer haversack mate. PM me with an address and I will be happy to mail it.

Capt. Sterling- I do moulage for our life squad and have tons of hours working with "blood and guts" easily made. I do GREAT burns (with blisters and all) and have quite a selection of materials and items for use as battle wound materials. I only have one limb that I use, but I have a couple of hands that would explain the need for the hook hand that some portray. Probably need to start a specific thread for this.

MANY MANY Thanks to all who were there at PiP 2007, it was simply OUTSTANDING!!:lol:

  9. Silkie~

Don't worry mate, we'll make sure we bring some extra cords, and we will be arriving early enough to scout out the distances and make a plan for ye. Let me know if you need anything else brought, as we are driving and can pick up things for as needed. <_<

  10. Weapons laws vary greatly by state, but can even be different by county or city. We here in Aurora Indiana are very, very fortunate. Our Police Chief and another officer gave us a "Police Escort" Lights and Sirens and the whole 9 yards for the POTC3 Opening! Man, did they ever have fun with us! About 75 Pyrates, a 40 foot Black Pearl and a Police Escort through US 50 to the theater. Then the Chief and his wife joined us after the movie for a late night meal. Tis truly a reenactors dream to have helpful police with our events. They love us pyrates here in our port! The weapons were checked in to the managers office and locked up for us during the movie, as we could not sit in the theater with the sword belts on, but They let us play and have fun with it. The law in Indiana is the same for black powder as it is any other type of firearm, unload it, and put it in the trunk. As for the other weapons of choice, in our area, they would fall under "clubs/assault", which in terms of an event would pose no problems, but on a street, it may cause them to detain you and ask some questions.
