  1. Ahh th' rebel legion... heh... I think I remember them... I still does all that Star Warsy kinda leather gear (much love fer th' Galaxy Far, Far Away...)... but I don't go t' those boards any more... Only so much treachery, drama, an' design theft one man can deal with... I feel safer here with th' Pirates... Th' gray an' black hat was some fun... Th' blank cost me more than th' black ones... but, as always, I could see in my head what it was gonna be so I needed t' grab it up and set meself t' it! It's th' only one I've done so far that has a cloth hatband 'round th' dome... I really like that... a detail ye have t' look fer. Thank ye Captain Grey! Ye might not see me on the RL boards... but perhaps ye will run int' me at SWC5 (which Steve Sansweet announced at SDCC could possibly be in Boston... Practically my back yard fer once!) Commodore Ashton "WeirdBeard" Synn NyghtCraft Leatherwerks an' total Star Wars costuming geek...
  2. Why thank you! I love makin' th' hats (ah, hells, I love makin' all of my works... but the hats are just so much fun!)... I got one more I want to list now... a int'restin' "flip front" style with a Jack Rackham theme t' it... But it just isn't finished til I find just th' right black feathers... a mix of ostrich 'n' pheasant I think... Just needs t' be BLACK... an' a'course I, be th' kind of annoyin' perfectionist that I am, has t' see and inspect th' feathers b'fore I buy 'em... An' Bess... I'll get ye set up with the pouch just the way ye want it! (messages sent) Sorry bout th' lack of green on the chapeau... That one just needed t' be all stark Black & Silver... I almost painted th' skull & crossed bones in th' cameo silver... but I decided t' weather 'n' shade th' white... It worked just how I wanted so I stopped there b'fore I went from strikin' an' (possibly) elegant t' completely overkill... Thank ye again ladies! 11. My short list of peeves; People who extend acronyms with a word used in the acronym; "ATM machine" (machine is the M... thank you...) "PIN number" (number is the N thank you...) "VIN number" (number is the N thank you...) People who say "Tin foil"... (Aluminum foil thank you... Tin foil hasn't been around in decades...)... People who use the word "then" when "than" would be correct within their writings... People who open their mouths prior to engaging their brains... And my current annoyance; Bruno... 16. Pastimes Entertainment has announced that their 6th annual pirate festival will take place in Gloucester this year at Stage Fort Park during June 20-21. The New England Pirate Faire has moved to America’s Oldest Seaport to take advantage of the historical significance of Gloucester, as well as to enjoy the oceanfront view afforded by Stage Fort Park. The annual production debuted in 2004 and has been held every year since in Salem. Pastimes’ Creative Director David Stickney said the production’s move to Gloucester will fulfill a long term goal for the company. “Wherever you are at Stage Fort Park, you can see the ocean. The realistic cannons at the park, the picturesque setting and the historical relevance of the park offers us the perfect backdrop for a pirate and sea-faring festival,” Stickney said. Additionally, the move allows the company to expand the faire, which will feature a cast of over 100 actors and musicians. The festival will also host the “Tortuga Marketplace” for vendors offering pirate clothing, prop weapons, accessories, jewelry, food, refreshments and more. The show will feature a scripted daylong storyline with several interactive scenes with characters drawn from literature and a different time. The two-day event will be held on June 20 and June 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for students, seniors and guests with a military ID and $8 for children 4-12. Stickney is working with Linn Parisi, owner of Over the Bridge Tours of Cape Ann in order to facilitate a citywide celebration of all things pirate. "I'm thrilled for our City that The New England Pirate Faire wants to call Gloucester its home. Stage Fort Park is a fabulous venue for pirates young and old to enjoy a weekend of family fun. Plans are in the works for Pirate Faire themed activities on land and sea to please landlubbers, scallywags and privateers!" Parisi said. Pastimes, an interactive theater production company based in Revere, has been producing festivals and faires in the Boston area for over 15 years, including the Castle of the Damned held annually at the Hammond Castle in Gloucester.
