Well I am finding a few Sloops out there that are just asking nay begging for a new captain. I am seeing that taking a ship would be much easier than me building one.

I do belive that I misspoke. For transport services I was thinking of anything that you would need transported to or from your place. I figure that you might have need of such service. Too bad they need experience. I would really like to learn how to sail a tall ship. I could even take the vacation for it. I don't know if my wife would like it but I don't care today.

See I just didn't catch the difference in the length of the coat. I, for some reason, though that only the officers wore coats. I don't know why because the sailors had to wear something around the horns. I do have a question for you Kass. In your patterns do you have one that has both a top and bottom in it? Like that first picture that you had.

Yes I have looked at her site. I have heard of the sailors jacket before, I mean I did spend three years in the Navy. I guess that it just looked to be more of a Captains coat too me. So the Captains were longer and more decrotive and had pockets? So much seems to have been lost to me I just don't know where to look for this information yet. I have got to get better at researching.

See I guess that I didn't relize that common sailors wore jackets.

Ok everytime I look for sailors clothes I can find most stuff on what the captains wore. I would like to do a more common sailor look. After all there were more sailors than captains right? But to make the outfit I would need pictures. Pictures of yourselves or from books would be great.

Another thing I have to add to my list of things I will never get to do before I die. Man the images that creates.

Dear Cheeky Actress, I am shur that whatever you wear would look great on you. The woman makes the outfit after all.

I am very disapointed in my last haul. It shall cost me more in repairs, and paying the crew than I almost managed to capture. So it seems that I will not be able to make it for this weekend. I must find cheeper entertainment or go back out to sea. I will miss meeting you all. I hope to be able to goto Bristol for Labor Day weekend.

I just wanted to put in my vote. I like legs. I mean a dancers or gymnasts, nice with form and muscle. Then I like eyes. The eyes are windows to the sole. Then she has to be able to laugh because I do alot of stupid things and laughing helps.

Maybe someday I will go back to Pennsic. I think that I will try to plan my next trip for PiP. Not this year but soon.

Ok while not really pirate related, I mean what would a pirate need a tent for? Either he sleeps with a woman, in a ditch, or on a deck. But we are reenactors and since work quite a bit on land. So I am in the market for a nice tent. But on priceing them out I figure that I could make one for cheaper. I would like to know the difference between sail canvass and tent canvass. A few pictures of GAoP tents would be great too. I am guessing that what ever the armies used.

This is great. A clay pipe piece 330 years old and Grenadoe are great finds. I love the Pirateolgy book I got one for my birthday. I even spent the time to translate the map. Please keep them comming I am finding this thread very interesting.
