Soul searching today...you know, the kind of day that you spend asking deep and meaningful questions... I am finding the answers to the who, what, where when and how....but it's the why that I keep having the problem with...I'm sure that I'll find it soon....it's just going to take a bit of work.

I don't chime in here very often, but I figured that last year on this date I weighed 148. This morning I stepped upon the scale and saw 123! I need another plan of action now...not just to stay on this road, but to maintain...no more 9 pm meals, no more skipping breakfast (which is a huge no-no in my book) and lastly. Keep weight lifting. Now that I've lost the weight I still have to keep everything toned!

Well then Cap'n Pete...you should be do quite well! The Archangel crewe shall have get a table close to the front... No Historical Jeopardy at all? Disappointment. I will drown my sorrows in Grogtinis. I'm sorry Cap'n Pete, but Kondor couldn't make it this year... I certainly plan to attend the straight razor one. The speaker -- a Mister Todd out of Fleet Street, I hear, gives the closest damn shave you ever had. I'll sit in the front row with a meat pie (It's lean -- must be Royal Marine). And he'll be joined by his lovely assistant - Mrs. Lovette Probably also want to attend the Lady Reenactor one -- if I can get the Missus to attend, she will be interested as well. Ooo! Great...we'd love to see your wif about. That seminar will be a pannel of women who do reenacting...hmm, you may see a face or two you know up there! I was considering offering a seminar on "How To Have The Most Outrageous Fun During Reenactor Fest." Does that include; "How to handle yourself on the Dance Floor" and "Grogtini...more than a drink!"

Thank you... As for the full body massage, BriarRose...yes, Please! Oh, and pay attention to the Captain's feet. I don't think he's recovered from KeyWest, yet. I'd just like a new stomach right now. Christine...hang in there...there is always an adjustment time for the body. It may time a bit, but once you're off the medication...you'll feel better I hope.

I don't think my friend has any historical proof that 'black work' was still about in the mid 1600s/early 1700s. I just think she likes the look. Perhaps its just a float over of her days doing Queen Elizabeth at RenFaire.

Exhausted (physically, emotionally, and mentally).

Sir... it was a typo, forgive me.

Nice thought...but the man is in the red right now...we'll have to wait until he can sell his indentured servant, Bess. As for me...sicker than a dog...and at work. Not a great combination and no...I cannot go home.

Thank you so much, Red Cat for your kind words. We have no idea what Dan's condition is, but only that he is being watched around the clock as of the moment. We plan to go down tomorrow afternoon to see if their is anything we can do for his lovely wife and Dan, not to mention his friends family as well. We are all in shock over this.

How nice!

Hasn't anyone told Mother Nature that it's JANUARY!!!!! Just yesterday we here in the State of Wisconsin experience a nasty 100 car pile-up down in Madison. The warmer weather has been causing a fog so thick it has lasted for the last three days! I was told today that one of the people who is in 'servere' condition is my very own neighbor, Dan! He was coming back from a outing just outside of Madison when it happened. As he was coming down HWY 39/90, his car was struck from behind. It was number four (4) in line. A work buddy was with him that day. Unfortunately, he did not make it. T Then today we had some pretty severe weather in my neck of the woods (Southeast WI). Up here, we experienced high winds, lighting, heavy rains, and even hail. This push of warm weather we had for the last few days has really messed up the seasons. There is no snow to speak of, expect for the large snow banks still in parking lots about town. My dear freinds in Northern IL informed me that they had servere weather down there today as well. They lost a locally loved apple orchard which was wiped out by a tornado today, but they are all in one piece and doing fine. Just north of them (near Lake Geneva, WI) Another family friend experienced some damage and they are without power; but nobody got hurt. It's been a rough couple of days.

Have you've searched the Seven Seas for a period correct wig for the Golden Age of Pyracy, but couldn't find 'exactly' what you wanted. Well...your search is over! Chez Michel (aka Mike Kaplan) has been reenacting for over 25 years and now started to apply his talent, knowledge, and skills in to making period correct wigs for reenactors. [Mike Kaplan wearing one of his own wigs 18th Century wig with que and velvet bag. Chez Michel specializes in late 17th century to late 18th century wigs. His custom fit wigs go to every length to provide exactly what you are looking from. He can match the wig to your hair colour (or not if you fancy something else), fit it perfectly to your size head, and style it to the proper time period. Here is just an example of one of his creations: Here we have the lovely Annie Metz Faulkner (Turkey Roost Traders) showing off her lovely medium brown mid-18th century wig. Please forgive me for the quality of the pictures and side shot with sausage curl For those of you who would like additional information regarding prices and ordering - Please PM me - I'll be happy to help you out!

Okay, I've been asked this question by a friend. Would black work (cuffs only) on these shirts be considered period correct? And if so, how much extra?
