  1. Ah, yes....Nick. That's all I have been hearing about since Bess has arrived back from port. It has been Nick this...Nick that..." Good Lawd! She's driving me to drink.
  2. Lilly Looks at the closely nestled bodies upon the shore line. It’s very disturbing to watch let alone over hear the conversations. Bess was part of this madness and she had informed me the conversations went somewhat like this. Maddogge: “Billie, you got to get closer. You not spooning Jack like you mean it.” “Tiger Bill: “What?! I thought I was. My back is touching…something.” Jack: “I don’t bite…much.” Maddogge: (Giggling)
  3. Wishing you all the best Fayma today and everyday! We love you! Have a great Birthday!
  4. I am having difficulty posting photos here...so I uploaded them to my Gallery (2009 Pike River). Enjoy.
  5. Well...I've waited a bit to see if our kind Stynky worked some more magic on this chat site. Lo and behold...I can! Thank you Stynky for your grand work. So Cheeky, Is your problem solved? (Sing songy sounding)....It's Ba..ack! Today I tried to upload photos from a recent event, and I cannot see the entire pop-up...(far left-justified). What's a girl gonna do but call upon the grand Stynky for help!
  6. One couldn’t ask for a better event. Great people, great weather and great times all the way around! I was pleased to see so many of our crewe turn out for this event and boy did we have a ‘ton ‘o fun’! Pictures will be posted shortly…as soon as I can get them down loaded and up for posting. Special thanks for all of you who drove/flew out all this way and slept very little just to be with their friends.
  7. Great event everyone! For further information/pictures and the like...look for the After Event posting!
  8. I would....if I were happy with them! I've made a total of 10...and they all are ...cough...sick looking. I'm going to ask ye for help Master Roberts when I see thee at Pike. I will be the one with a glass of ale in one hand...swearing like a sailor, and a unmade Dorset button in the other.

Looks like 'Bess is having a grand time of it! Great shot!
  10. It all comes down to economics, Silkie. In the book, "The Persecution of Huguenots & French Economic Development 1680-1720", by Warren C. Scoville. The book states the by the late 1680s, both England and Holland were doing a great deal of domestic manufacturing and with the high tariffs walls protected their producers from French competition. Also, there were sumptuary laws against the use of cotton during this time.
  11. Linen thread is good, silk is better as it does not fray. Yet, I am still working on my green and gold dorset buttons.
  12. Well...I've waited a bit to see if our kind Stynky worked some more magic on this chat site. Lo and behold...I can! Thank you Stynky for your grand work.
  13. Obviously ....I posted by accident....please ignor...
  14. Same here...and my system keeps getting an error code then crashes.
  15. Well, I tried to change my monitor res...but no luck. I still can't see the full 'screen' Perhaps I cannot use the BB Codes. It there a restriction on software? Or could it be an Encoding issue?
  16. Some things have changed...like my parameters to the pub's 'field of view' doesn’t fit my little 15 inch screen. When I try to add an attachment such as a link or photo to my post, the ‘field’ where you put said information is cut off on the left hand side of my screen and I cannot move over to view it. Yes, I have tried to adjust my physical screen to adjust to this…but it does not work. Any suggestions?
  17. Thank you LadyB, Rumba Rue, Mr. Tignor, Oderlesseye, and Captain Jim for you kind words. Yes, LadyB this is part of my warmer weather/summer attire. I had the intension of bringing it with me to Blackbeards, but I never finished it in time. Thank you Rumba! All you really need is to have great resources to find the best deals. The embroidery on the fabric, Mr. Tignor is not hand done. The fabric came that way I confess that I do have moments of madness...but I ain't that crazy! Thank you Oderlesseye. If ever we do have a chance to meet, a glass of fyne rum for you! Captain Jim, I will gladly wear my badge "FB License Number Six" with pride! As for a Jamaican sloop ..."cough...cough"...I know know nothing of such things..."cough". I am but an actress of the London stage.
  18. ! Thank YOU Captain Jim. I'll take that as a HUGE compliment.Uhm…Captain Sterling? Now which number FB am I? I think we left off on 5 or was that 6?
  19. Here is my lastest and greatest....and though this thread states..."You IN your garb" ...it is as close as I could get for now. The stays are the by the lovely hand of our very own Haunting Lily Alexander. The mantua gown is cream silk with brown and green silk embroidery. Petticoat is also silk - goldenrod is the color.
  20. A very Happy Birthday to you, Jack! Enjoy your time with your lovely wife and baby! The best Pyrate Ninja I've ever met!
  21. From one twin to another....Happy birthday you two!
  22. Anniversary you two! Many blessings on this day and wish you many more!
