  1. "Aye, yes of course..." Sterling paused. "Thank ye lad, my apologies for my tone. Was beneath me and you. Best be about getting the horses ready then. Is there a carriage available? I would not wish to leave anyone behind. As soon as I can get myself dressed, I shall be out to assist. Mayhaps there would be some planks about to board up the window shutters and hold them fast?"
  2. "Have a care lad!" Sterling barked as bed chamber door was wrenched open. "I will not have my wife afrightened with all yer hammering no matter what the cause may be that brought ye here and in such a state!"
  3. Snatching upper most blanket from bed, Sterling pulled it around himself and made his way to the door...
  4. "By God, tis only ..." he paused. "What time is it?" he asked, the sun far from making its way into the morning sky. He raised himself from the bed, still wanting more of his wife and rummaged around looking for something to wear. As of yet, nothing of his old clothing had been moved to the new surroundings. "Damnation!" he grumbled, his breeches still across the hall in the room with the tub.
  5. Sterling woke slowly a dull ache prodding gingerly at the inside of his skull. He sat up, the oil still burning in its lamp by the bedside. He smiled a moment after inspection of room to try and remember where he was... this time... And was glad to see his new bride sleeping quietly in their marriage bed next to him. He stretched and lowered himself back down to the comfort of the feathers and ticking and the warmth and silk of Aurore's body. Scrutiny of fingertips showed that his skin was still puckered and wrinkled from love making in the bath and he chuckled softly to himself until memories of what had happened began to arouse him once again. He turned to his wife wanting more but the annoyance in his head stopped him. Good hand settled gently on tender breast and Aurore woke and looked up at him curiously. "Are you all right?" she asked. He nodded cautiously. "My head, tis nothing really. In for a change of weather, we are."

  14. Well since we are just starting out, our stuff is all brand spanking new... although Dogge and Beach managed to start downgrading their's in one evening....as to Mr. March's stuff, he is actually very careful with it, because it is mine, but being a successful privateer officer, he pretty well looked his part.... I know Skittles was trying hard to dirty up her new petticote... And her coat was not even period but she really is a work in progress and clothing that was offered as a loan just didn't appear... oh well, life happens and you roll with it. Aging takes time, although we do have some very coarse clothing in thought for a different look.... but unless you're an artist at "aging" it usually looks just that...faked.... Also we dressed according to personnas, which have been quite thought out in detail, although they are still a work in progress... we had no instructions to be dressed as Marylanders...nor did we expect to have some of the crew turn around to be civilians, although the guys are extremely "bendable" and they had a blast doing what they did this past weekend. These things just kind of "occurred" when Andy, Blackjohn and I started brainstorming on what to do... We now have added executioneer, parson, goalers, etc, to our list of what we need. But with time our crewe will be ready for almost anything... our goal is to be able to portray anything from Successful privateer all the way on down the line to piss-poor pirate... as well as every possible civilian type role....seeing we've only been up and running since Feb. we still need a bit more time to get it all together...
  15. I can't wait to see pics of us winning! Now that was fun! Since the women were involved in that action... I don't actually think we have any pictures of that ... mayhaps The Countess will have some... what was it she said... about two weeks time for those?
  16. The actress berating Captain Sterling... "You know you keep eating all those French foods ...."
