  1. okay I could be getting my history mixed up, but wasn't that when he overflowed the bathtub? water
  2. Check out the Shipwreck Scenario and Mercury crew threads, they might help give you an idea about reenacting
  3. Ahoy Dutch! Lunch was great, was grand to see you and Grace. Now that I know basically what is expected of us, I can turn the crewe loose... looking forward to a great time! Again, thanks for lunch...Sterling is getting ready to set all the ladies "humming" once more...
  4. ?? Lost, yer buried under tons of paperwork ?... Lost, ye took a wrong turn three red lights ago ?... Lost, Yer boss doesn't understand you?... or Lost, ye have no clue what yer doing right now, lost ?? ??
  5. **he looks at Briar from the corner of his eye** Surely ye jest??
  6. Briar he is precious!!! What a cutie...must take after ye and not Capt. Lasseter...
  7. Being a crew that is family oriented, aye we have quite a number of young ones mucking about. As to kit, we determine what type of character/role they wish to portray or even if they are young enough, what they can even manage to do that would fit the time frame. If you are truly thinking of turning out all your kids (I am assuming they are all boys) as grommets, then trousers, shirts, neck cloth and some type of hat is where you wish to start. Buckled shoes, since we are all down on the beach at PiP and not on board, could be put on the back burner for this year, but I will warn you, because of the corral the ground is rough to travel over. I highly recommend some sort of shoe...There is a thread, possibly in PLUNDER we can find for you, about turning modern shoe styles into passable shoes from the time frame, but with ten kids you'd better start now... Unfortunately there are no pc patterns for kids out on the market at the moment... so unless you know how to grade what is available or perhaps the misses can drape clothing??
  8. Honestly, Mission, it would be nice to have some "serious and studious" characters about... if that is how you wish to portray your character you will be far better off doing so instead of creating something that you are not comfortable carrying out. I would be surprised if there were no serious/studious people about in the GAoP, only a bunch of comical hams....Just because one is serious and studious, doesn't mean that they are not amiable and gracious toward the spectators
  9. "Although they look flaccidly impotent when laid out dead on the deck, when alive in the water, Humboldt squid are powerful, vicious, meat-eating predators, and they are very dangerous to swim near. Around Baja, more gruesome stories are told about people getting killed by squid than by any other sea creature. Imagine a swarm of 50-pound animals capable of swimming more than 20 miles-per-hour, equipped with voracious appetites and over 1,000 suckers, each containing about 20 gripping teeth strong enough to tear human skin (correct, that's 20,000 teeth!). And, surrounded by that cluster of four-foot long arms is a powerful parrot's beak the size of a small tangerine, snapping and cutting at anything pulled within its reach." **he pauses in his story telling** Oi William, any chance of Calamari for dinner?
  10. Upon a knee... I have rather long legs.
  11. **pats his thigh once more** there now Briar, pockets are all cleaned out. Should be a lot more comfortable now. And since I have two legs... Syren is more than welcome to the other one.
  12. Aye but no more kisses just post a quote, yer turn.
  13. Sorry to hear that Jill, but welcome to the club...
