  1. As long as there is a good strong branch, I'm sure we could work something out... one interesting thing I have noted over the years, is that the kids, for the vast majority, understand its a trick/stunt, its getting past the adults, but once they have seen it done, they are begging to see it again... tis just that first step...
  2. sniggerng... good point..well taken...I actually haven't seen that much flesh on his face in years...
  3. I agree with yer soap box issues... nothing worse than trying to hide things that happened in the past... how can we ever learn from things, if we pretend they never happened... studies have shown that when we "ignore" something, we tend to repeat it and make it worse than it was.... funny how folks like Stalin liked to "rewrite" history... since when has he become the ideal for folks to copy...??
  4. Actually I am still learning all the safety issues, and there are quite a few... when it comes to doing this stunt, when Maddogge speaks we all listen... fer a change.. . although this time, the skit itself was quite the team effort, everyone really contributed to it and it certainly shows ... thanks to the crewe and the bonies fer all yer input and participation... team work is what its all about. And though there are no suprises for those involved, there's nothing like seeing a plan come together... Thank ye for all the kudos, the crewe works hard on this particular stunt, we have a number of different versions up our sleeves... so we shall see what we can come up with fer next year.
  5. When done in public, we would insist on doing the safety speech directly afterwards. We need to be able to show the people, especially the kids that this is NOT a real hanging but a stunt and must be done by trained folks only... of course the skit could carry on afterward, but we need to be able to speak with the kids as quickly as possible.
  6. Not quite... I could recommend that a master carpenter build his crew a lovely display case...we already have the prettiest display case... Maddogge ye can't miss him or his first place medal...
  7. Captain Jim, why is that? IS it the distances or the terrain? Pretty much a mixture of both... and this year the sand from the beach washed up where the camp was... when time permitted walking barefoot in the sand wasn't too bad, but with buckled shoes that too can add to the discomfort...
  8. Aye that event can be hard on the feet also...
  9. Oi Stynky took the words right out of me mouth.... **wicked grin**
  10. Congratulations Lady, Well Done!!
  11. Oh I love this one! Thanks fer making her day so special...
  12. Ah Lady, my word is always good when I give it... and just ignore the Mistress, she never has a nice thing to say.... I am finally beginning to understand what William Red Wake means...
  13. Oi, Greg, chime in as soon as ye can, let us know ye made it home safe!!!
  14. Haha, does the chemise have green ribbons in the sleeves and hand stitching on the neckline and cuffs? Aye that it does... I collect more items from the quartermaster's family than anyone else... hmmm are we sure we want him to be the quartermaster? Let's see, cravat from Mr. Abbington, Neckerchief from JiJi, OH Mae's poster, and now Brig's underpinnings...all in my tent...
  15. Snotties wanted to do full size but small for the tree will work just as well....yer wish is my command
  16. And Damn, if the beauty doesn't work as prettily as she looks... she made her debut at PiP and worked like a charm
  17. Found: One lady's chemise and no tis not the Mistress's (worth $50) One small sewing kit (worth $15.00) Still Missing: Robbie (worth: Priceless) **heh, heh, heh**
  18. The elder snottie, Lugie, suggested real cool Christmas stockings so just let me know what ye all decide on making.... and for what ever my two cents are worth... the trouble with PiP is... it just doesn't last long enough...
  19. Glad to hear ye are all tucked away safe and sound... miss you both terribly already... thank you so much for all that you both do from feeding to photos, to just being there.... there is nothing like Papa's laugh to lift the spirits and Mama's tears at a job well done, to remind me what this hobby is truly all about.
