A bit of bad news, I did a spot more research and it turns out you can only get about one third as much yield from these cheese logs Mary recommended as I thought so we will be needing approximately 36 thousand cheese logs, I am beginning to question the validity of this material as a practical building material.

Excellent we shall set forth a logging expedition, we should only need about 12,000 cheese logs for the planking and decking for a 60 foot sloop. Of Course that is assuming we would go with traditionally oak framing. On a lighter note, Has anyone ever noticed the similarities of cheese logs an teenagers. They are both nutty, smell funny and lay about during the holidays waiting for attention.

So this be where cheese logs come from.

But can ya build ships out of it?
