Just returned home from a 7 day cruise in the eastern Caribbean. Hit Little Stirup Cay, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. While I was only able to spend a few hours on each of the Islands it was incredibly fun! Anyone else enjoy a cruise or two?
Found this clever invention at the "Oldest House" in St. Augustine Florida. To filter the water the Spanish would first pour it into this large bowl made of volcanic rock. The water trickles through leaving the debris behind. Of course this only removes the solids but I found it very clever.
It appears the Port Washington Pirate Festival may be returning from the grave under new management! Color me surprised since once a festival stops it rarely returns. Here is the website:

Back from my trip to St. Augustine Florida with an old beat up cutlass. The sword was in my checked luggage and traveled with me just fine! Thanks to all the helpful shipmates!
Side note: St. Augustine is amazing! Lots of pirate fun!
Found another fun film on Netflix! Captain Sabertooth and the treasure of Lama Rama. Its a fun kids film! Nice production value. Hideous dubbing in English.
