  1. Nice hat Toe Cutter! I do agree that a fest or faire of some sort be the best way to buy. That way you can try things on sample the compliments, and generally feel special for giving up the hard won cash. It makes a better experience over all than the internet...

Here's to cats! Mine has taken to eating my plumes and sleeping on me chain maille.

  2. I'm on the Palouse. I was listening to Northwest Public Radio, to the Inland Folk program when I caught the end of the announcement. I suspect that this is for something on the other side of the state, but I am holding out for something interesting a little closer to me. :) And since I don't know for sure where the Round Table Restaurant is, I thought I would ask here.

  3. The attitude is the thing...

Me Mum once had some advice for me. "If everthing sucks, and everyone treats you badly. It might be time to consider that the problem really is you."

So build the house and play the golf and damned be the nay sayers!

  4. why is it they never get Capt. Sparrow's hat just right?

....OH i cant wait tills me gets me Straw hat!

Probably because when they started making/selling those hats there was no "Captain Sparrow." A little movie, a little name change, a little price hike...lots of clones. -_-

  5. So, in my brand new location, was listening to the NWPR to a show called Inland Folk. I came in at the tale end of an announcement about Sea Shanty Sing Along at a restuarant called the Round Table. Unfortunately I don't know where it is located or when it happens. Does anyone know more about this?

  6. I wasn't looking for pirate boots, this time out. My engineer boots have died and been summarily burried, so I am after a replacement pair. They do make, for some extraordinary amount of money, thigh high boots that can be folded down. I believe the website is www.westcoastshoe.com. However while it was up last night, I cannot make it come up today. Hmm...

  7. Near me old home there was certain mega mall. On the third floor was certain miniature golf course. Which just happened to over look a certain indoor amusement park...all of which I was escorted out of. :)

  8. Please do share the link when you find it. It was at the MNRF that I worked for five wonderful years, and two more that weren't. I bought my jack from Mac 12 years ago, when my first pewter mug took the swan dive from the balcony of our stage/booth. Oddly enough, the same swan dive I took that crushed my jack. But, leather is just so much more durable... I missed the MNRF this year, as I've moved to Washington. It was Mac's widow who resealed my mug, the last time I had it done.

    thanks

  9. No no no... The tiny little hole just be the cover. This is an opportunity to direct high speed small hard objects in crowds of unsuspecting people...

"oops my bad *giggle* I just so awful at this..."

  10. Aye, Jack o' the drinking kind. I've no need, so far, for armour...

Buzzard's Nest? Do they have a website? Tis always nice to have a back up plan in case of eventualities.

  11. Aye, that was indeed my point. And though my dear leather jack is truely irreplacable, it isn't worth much to me, if I'm not using it.

If it were living on a shelf, I'd have to dust it. Instead, drink goes in and drink goes out, and it is never needing dusting. Though it did need some reshaping after I fell 15' to flatten it with me backside. :)

  12. Well the truth o' the matter is that if you have a functional piece of equipment, you must simply accept that something unwelcome might come to it. Trust that everything is replaceable, and the replacement might even be better than the original! O'course this don't apply to me leather jack, since Mac be dead, and no others make any so nice...

  13. Plundering the Palouse it is, indeed!

The only truely unfortunate part about is that I traded one land locked home for another, half a country away. Though truth be told, the coasts are to populated for me own comfort. So the Palouse and more schooln' it is for me.

  14. P'raps I spoke to soon about a return!

For the journey, it began with a degree pilfered last fall. Then with much time at hand, I took on a volunteer project to plan a large event. At said event a friend of mine died doing something he was very skilled at doing, at my behest, in front of several thousand people, though it was no fault of his. Realizing it could have been me, I went to Florida to procure some more flight training. Then to northern wisconsin for a little art camp in the woods, some camping out in Montanna. And now in the unfortunately Inland Northwest, I'm back on the degree path, thinking that something else might be nicer, as the proverbial sailing is certainly not smooth.

It is good to see so many familar names!
