  1. Probably not every liviin' thing in the Carribean. Spend much time there monkeee ?

I've been there and love it but I'm thinking as a cutthroat pirate back in the heyday. I wouldn't want to lay waste to anything but if I was bloodthirsty and all.......

  2. .....wait for meltdown and boom.... scuttle the ship, then scuttle the town... Even I would say that is going a bit far. The entire idea of adventure and plunder, is to have a place to do it and stuff to plunder.

Dorion, I was thinking the exact same thing today. Your fine in the open sea, but, forget about ever getting close to port........ Now you could turn the entire thing into a sort of floating pirate paradise town. Sort of a floating port royal. .... I like the idea of that anyway........ The Capt.

    :D

Ahhhh, But put yourself in Edward Teach's shoes. If you knew you were about to get caught and you knew you were going to die...how many people would you want to take with you?

Hmmmm Floating Pirate Paradise with a carrier. That might work even better.

  3. PirateMunkee, your Honduran machete be sounding smart as paint, have you any pictures of it to share?

I don't right now but I will take some and get them scanned. Damn I need a Digital Camera

  4. Ahoy Claire! Do I hear a challenge to yer colors? Rule sof engagement require him to lower his colors,Drop his mains'l, and take a lee tack, or face the consequences; in this case, a full broadside from Claire's vessel, the Royaliste

Hey now I never challenged the colors just said we need to discuss it. Not really though just playing around. Dang, I need to be on acid to look at that flag though.

  5. Had three o' them munks. Cute, but too much monkey shit. Sorta like lubber wimmen on deck. stick to parrot, mate. Mines a better pyrate to talk to than most civilians.

Ahhhh but the crap is part of the charm of having a monkey. Teach the monkey to throw his crap at your enemies and you have the makings of a fine weapon as well

  6. Ahoy there PirateMunkee! I actually use to live not far from there off Palm near the Orange circle. Then later I moved over by Kattella and the 55, finished up me High School at Villa Park, graduated in 81'.

I lived really close to the circle. Villa Park huh? Had tons of friends who went to Villa. Used to go there all the time since we didn't have a football stadium, our home games were at your field.

  7. Hmmmm... that there Aircraft carrier idea... great fer takin' ships at sea, takin' a sea port? Hmmm... what's the draft o' them things? ye'd never be able ta get close enough.... Now a battleship like the Missouri (the main guns can use BP) that would have th' cannon range ta bombard a port...

Problem with that is the ammo for the big guns aren't part of the ship thus would be considered 2 items. Hell, I like the destroyer idea myself. The big guns alone is enough of a scare tactic to freak any unsuspecting captain or port.

Taking a sea port with a carrier would be great. Big enough to block off a harbor. Huge enough to have enough pirate living on it for a pretty huge landing force. enough deck space for an arsenal of cannons. And if that doesn't work, drain the water cooling the nuclear reactors and wait for a meltdown then BOOOM. Scuttle the ship and you scuttle the entire caribbean.

  8. Probably the machete blade makes for a light carry and wield, also, Munkee?

    Capt. William

Yeah it does. I like a heavy blade myself but the machette was all show, Pretty good for a first sword. Next step, making a real one. The Atlanta Cutlery Company has blank blades ready for customizing.

  9. Ahoy pirates!!

I just thought I'd toss in my two dubloons worth!

One nice thing about Tales of the Seven Seas is that you can pirate with us AND with other pirates!

As a matter of fact, we quite often partner with other guilds on our events-In the past we've worked with Guild of the Four Winds, (a smaller, historically accuarate renaissance-era northern CA pirate guild) The Pirates of Emerson (who run a commerical high-tech pirate themed haunted house) and the Highlander Warriors (a group of Celtic swordsmen who like to pirate on the side) Many of our pirates do other events with other groups. We're happy when pirates can join us and we understand when they are committed to other events. We're an easy-going crew and we love to join the events of other guilds and to have other pirates join in ours.

    Cheers mates!!

    Terror of Silicon Valley

And that be why I joined up wit' ya' except we have to talk about that tie-dye pirate flag

  10. I want a monkey. Pure and simple. Teach them to steal or get into some nice tight spaces then BAM..you've got yourself more than just a pet. Besides with a monkey, I wouldn't be in the cell trying to beg some dumb dog for the keys, I would send my monkey out to kick the dog's ass and then bring the keys to me. Oh, did I fail to mention it would be a big monkey...A real big monkey. A gorilla would be better. Then I would have muscle to cover my back.

  11. Snickers... snickers......"lol" The only problem I can see with that is you are only allowed to take ONE. Think of the uproar you would have when that is gone and you cannot produce another. Otherwise, that would be a really great idea.

As far as the aircraft carrier goes.... well I know there is a problem there with the one rule somewhere; I just can't find it yet. I like the way you think Pirate Munkee............ The Capt.

I thought about it too. Without the planes or equipment to maintain them or the equipment that doesn't belong to the ship everything is fine. Everything else, the engines, radar (even though it wouldn't work) even down to the stoves, beds, tables, etc. are part of the ship thus being ONE thing, the ship. Nuclear power so you won't have to worry about fuel and there is plenty of sea water to keep the thing cool. Bang, the ulimate Pirate vessel. Imagine the terror we would strike coming into some unsuspecting port with that thing sporting our colors. Mwahahaha

  12. Hi Pirate munkee

the only group that I know that is doing in northern california

is the Guild of St.Dymphna the Seadogs, but they just started the Heaert of the forest faire in Novato,so joining up right now might be a bit hard unless you know all our songs(our way)

I believe Steve was looking for a few new crew to tryout but that was before the faire started

if you go to that faire and talk with the guild master(Steve) you might be able to see the Dogs at work and let them know that ytou are intrested in joiningthere have been a number of member who joined by hanging out with the Dogs for a year then joining the next year

    just 1 thing to realize

    Pirates are hung

    where privateers we're well hung

Me I'm stuck in southern california and won't be able to make it up north for any Seadog events this year(Damn)

    seadog.org

    is our website

 Does anybody know of any Northern California Crews that I may join up with? I would really love to hook up with a crew and have no idea how. I myself live in Santa Cruz California which would be prime location for a Pirate crew and if there is one, I never heard of them if not, I have no clue how to begin one either.

Also is there any one who works the Northen Cali Ren Faire? I was majorally dissapointed that there was no Pirate's row like there is in the Southern Cali Faire. I would love to see a crew up here in the Northen Cali faire. Any Help will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks Beast. The Royaliste sent me in the direction of a crew near me called Tales of the High Seas. I hooked up with them but the crew you directed me to seems more like what I'm looking for. I'll check them out also but just started with this new crew and think I'll hang with them for awhile. Thanks

  13. A most hearty "welcome aboard" to both of ye, Eliaza, and Pirate Munkee!

    Capt. William

Gracias Capt. William. Glad I joined this board. Already been pointed in the right direction of a crew near me and hooked up already. Thanks for the info The royaliste...sure I will meeting you soon. So happy to be among like minded outstanding persons such as yourselves :ph34r:

  14. The truth be that m'prayer is that they lose the Monkey in the sequel.

He was more difficult then the most self effected actor I've ever delt with!!I'd never had one actor bite another before this! LOL!

    You are most welcome.

Don't lose the Monkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always thought monkeys would be cooler sitting on a pirates shoulder than a parrot. Pretty useful too. Look at the mayhem the monkey in Raiders of the Lost Ark caused.

Anyways, I loved the movie. The way a Pirate movie is meant to be. I loved Johnny Depp's portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow. His best role yet!!!!

I have a question though. Originally the film was supossed to be rated R (Or as we pirates say...rated ARRRR). I knew Jerry Bruckhiemer and Disney kept going rounds and rounds about it becuase Disney wanted the Movie released on Walt Disney Pictures instead of Touchstone. I know he had to cut alot out to make it a pg-13 movie. What scenes were cut? And will they be added on the DVD? Hell, the could even release a director's cut DVD with all the parts added.

I plan on seeing this movie again, and again, and maybe again a few more times. And please...Repect the monkeypirateAnimeLol1.gif

  15. YoHoHo it's a pirate's life for me?! Hmmmm Now where have I heard that before? I wonder if this uprising of new crewmates has something to do with a certain Johnny Depp movie. Oh well anyways, welcome aboard. I myself have been into everything Piratical since I was a wee one. Ever since I was told I have an ancestor who was a pirate, that and also the fact my father was head of the Disneyland Art dept. and we used to go to Disneyland practically every week and I would ride POTC at least 5 times in a row. That was were my addiction first started. We all have to start somewhere. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  16. Addendum...

The following missive is from a description of a Sega Megadrive Game ~ Greendog ~ put out in England in 1991. Seems our mouse friends get their inspiration from all over the world.

Greendog is one unlucky surfer. He lost his board and got stuck with a cursed necklace. Greendog has to fight his way his way past a lot of crazed creatures and monsters to find the Aztec treasure or he'll never get rid of the curse. Excellent cartoon platform adventure game.

    Here's a link to see the game ~ http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...egory=3644&rd=1

Greendog. I remember that game. I played it all the time. Now I'm addicted to roller coaster tycoon too (Made many a Piratical themed amusement parks) and instead of playing a surfer on a game, I play one in real life.
