  2. (Hug) So many of my fur babes are waiting for me at the Bridge... a few more Blessed to me then the others (and they know why) but each and every one just as loved. And be on the look out... most often they send you someone else. Not to replace them, but to look after you and for you to love until the time is right. Healing thoughts m'dear....
  3. Opps! MY BAD!! Sorry I missed the special day... but then, I wish you happiness for EVERY day so I gues it all evens out. Hope it was grand.
  4. Well here in L.A./Hollywierd NO one bats an eye if I am out in full or partial garb someplace. I even went and had my oil chanegd once on the way to a Faire. Nothing. Go figure.
  5. Since I will not be about here on the day, Phoebe and I just wanted to wish everyone all the candy they can eat! Okay, and rum too. And Phoebe as you can see, is not fond of Black Jelly Beans. A Happy day to ya all!
  6. OMG... The best tea cake I've ever had in my LIFE!
  7. now...I know Iron Bess doesn't "work and tell" ...but they left it 'hanging out there'...any chance they could change their minds on the new film plot? Well, ya never know. I know that *idea's* have been bandied about and that a storyline is in the *pipeline*. What it may end up being is anyones gues as it will morph in and out quite a bit I would guess. And it is still years off as Depp is booked for some time. Now, if he wants to do it bad enough and changes his schedule well..... And no, Orlando Bloom is not on the schedule to be back. (Drink up me hearties Yo Ho!)
  8. Jut heard that the fellow not only ran a red light, but was drunk, driving on a suspended license AND had a history of DUI. Makes my head shake.
  9. Trundled this topic over to Thieves Market since your link leads to goods for sale… Good luck!
  10. During the Summer, this Pirate lives, eats and breathes Baseball. This morning, the starting pitcher for last nights game for the Anaheim Angels, was killed in an accident with a hit and run driver. Hours earlier, he had pitched 6 scoreless innings in his first start for the Angels. He was considered one of the top prospects in the major leagues Yeah, they caught the guy but... 2 other people were also killed. Nick Adenhart was only 22 years old and had a limitless future ahead of him. I am so bummed.
  11. Nope. Just pray it's not Tim Burton.
  12. If Pirates 4 is ever given the green light , Gore Verbinski will not be at the helm. A new Director will be attached to the project. Just... keeping you all in the loop.
  13. And I STILL hate living all the way down here....
  14. You're allot younger then me then... I even remember the Rifleman, Have Gun will Travel, Sugarfoot, Maverick... not to mention vaguely recalling the premier of I love Lucy! As for the BBC... I adore Lovejoy, Hamish MacBeth, Vicor of Dibly, Ballykissangel.. so MANY great shows on the BBC.
  15. (Chuckle) I doubt even that will save you from the wrath of the Lady B....
  16. [Either way she ended up on her head falling from the hieght of her sisters shoulders, on top of a bed, sitting on a bar stool. Sounds like Pirate stock to me!
  17. On the afternoon of the second day, Adam's father thanked us profusely for allowing him to sing with us. At that point, he hadn't yet heard Adam singing his new favourite song - The Old Black Rum. As in "The old black rum has a hold on me like a dog wrapped 'round my leg..." ROTFLMAO!!! All bands have those moments I think... When we did the SnowBall Experss for the USO, a party for the Children who have lost a parent in the war.... we had a little girl (about 3 I think) who started dancing. She danced and danced and danced and then started singing. She even directed us at one point. He mother finally just sat on the ground and grinned from ear to ear. She told us later it was the first time she had heard her daughter laugh since her father was killed. We always let the kids up on stages now if they want to come. Music can be quite the healer and just the right thing to draw kids out!
  18. [ Come Saterday we could not get her to stop running up on stage for EVERY SONG. Now we are trying to be respectful and keep her an a bench so they can do thier set. Wich, if ye have ever meet me youngest, knows that be an imposible thing. We joke she should have been born a red head cause of her temper. With arms crossed in a huff and a look that would freeze ye dead in ye step she says "Why can't I sing with them I know all the words better than Crow and Harvey said I could sing today."(Crow being one of the group) Now THAT is a Pirate moment to live up to! (I sense another entertainer on the horizon...)
  19. Oh Aye, and thank you... Both m'drums are in that thread. One is a Mance Grady, 16 x 7.5 and other is a Metloef, 14 x 4.5 Both untreated goatskin and play like a dream. (sigh) And you?
  20. (Sorry, in an Irish band m'self) Don't be apologizing for that! It's good work, it is. *nod* Aye... and there be a picture of my new Bodhran in the Sea Shantie forum under what do you play?
  21. Later on they were bloody well prepared for Old Dun Cow. It was glorious. *Sombody shouted Macintyre ... MACINTYRE!!!!!!* (Sorry, in an Irish band m'self)
  22. He wasn't in place long enough m'dear.
  23. (Chuckle) Only if luck is on your side....
  24. He was quite gallant as he passed by me in a walkthrough for the Faire employees… He doffed his hat, bowed low and the dropped his kisser right onto my chest. Since I couldn’t cross my hand over, I took the hilt under the quillions and brought the pommel up as hard as I could up into his jaw. Not my intent but I knocked him out cold. I got security and they escorted the drunken lout off the site. Waste not, want not.
  25. Hopeful. After 4 weeks I seem to be getting my hearing back in my left ear... YES!
