  1. I got to see the petstar when the african grey was on, it was amazing to watch. I recall my mother and myself looking at each other in amazement going "We should have picked birds!". Then again I'd never trade my kitties for anything either, to bad I can't teach them to talk in english.. because I certianly can't speak cat!
  2. Hey leave Pennsic-Pay-Per-View outta this topic, you'll scare people! Duncan- Provided you make it TO the Bog with those cherries before they're pillaged away again. Which reminds me, I need to start making several batchs of those myself here shortly. Ahhh War how I miss it, is it time to go home yet?
  3. ::Ponders this one:: PA Ren + Pirates and Pirate Theme + Area full of Active Guild Members + Rouges in Kilts + Booze.... I my pirate sences are tingling.. trouble of the good an' fun type is afoot! I can see August and September are going to be very busy months, so many faires with so little time!
  4. Mmmmm.. St. Augustine one of my favorite citys to plunder in anyway, but considering you've got two more pirates lurking down in Orlando chances are we'll show up. This is one of those things that requires "sign-up" don't it?
  5. Trust me I understand this problem as it's one I suffer often enough myself. I'm working on something right now, you might like the idea. It's a half bodice so it leaves my waist and arms free to move (could even use a turkish vest come to think of it), a short cut-off chemise with a long 12 yard gauze skirt with bloomers/haram pants under. With the skirt it gives you a lot of options for hip belts and sashes, layer a few of them togther. Hell you can even add a coined hip chain for effect. Sadly mine is only half done and I'm demanding a leather bodice, which naturally I can't make so it's being purchased! The rest is fairly easy to make/buy if your not the best with sewing.
  6. I put the rough edges togther, fold them over once and sew a double stright stitch. After that I just turn them inside out and that takes care of seeing rough edges. For the ends I fould them under and pin whatever fringe, then just hand stitch it in place. To put one togther I think it takes me all of 45 minutes (counting cutting and hand sewing) but mine are only about 5" wide.
