  1. Thank ye fer the invitation, capnwilliam!

Although I can't get to New Orleans this year fer Mardi Gras, I smile happily thinkin' of the many good times I've had in your great city.

Raisin' me tankard to ye, good Sir, and New Orleans!

  2. While we are casting for a pirate crew why not throw in Val kilmer and Kurt Russel as the two in command on the royal navy's tallship?

I agree with ye Diego about Val Kilmer. He definitely has a pirate attitude and look.

Other actors that I could imagine as pirates:

    Jack Nicholson

    Ian McKellan

    Sean Connery

    Actresses that have pirate energy:

    Judi Dench

    Shirley MacLaine

    Vanessa Redgrave

  3. Ahoy and Welcome to ye, Gabriel

Ye have sailed into a fine establishment. Sounds as if ye have a pretty busy and active life there in the 'Sea of Corn' (great image by the way).

We are a bunch of cutthroats and scoundrels, pirates and wenches, so watch yer step, mate. There be much to see and do here in the Pub, so go explorin'.

Pay attention, though, bucko, that some of the rooms are labeled for Adults Only. However, don't let that disappoint ye, as there be a vast array of places suitable fer lads and lasses.

I might suggest one of me favorite haunts, The Tsunami Kate, as a place fer ye to wander into. And, if'n ye get in over yer head, come on over to The Confessional Closet, which I administer.

Well, I'll have a Diet Pepsi to get me caffeine buzz hummin' this mornin'.

    Gramercy.

Once again, welcome to ye, Gabriel.

  4. Aye, good day Mr. Young Albatross. Welcome aboard matey

(Ciaran walks in, takes a look, and knocks Sir Blackfoot over the head)

Arrgh, mate, take a closer look! Albatross be a lassie!

Welcome to ye, m'Lady. The first thing ye do on yer way to 'becomin' a pirate is to honour a tradition we have here in the Pub. That bein' ye must buy us all a round o' drinks. Ray here (motions toward man behind counter) be our bartender and a fine gent he is.

Ray, an orange juice to start me mornin'. Gramercy.

So, Miss Albatross, welcome to ye. Take a visit throughout the Pub; it's a vast establishment. And, don't let some of these buckos (nudges Blackfoot) lead ye astray!

  5. Arr, Kendra, lass, am sending lots of prayers out for your grandmother. I cannot imagine what a change it is for her to move out of a house where she has spent so much of her life. I pray her healing continues.

Good luck with the YMCA. My local one is a great organization (I used to be a member before I started having so many neck (disk) problems). I hope ye are able to join and take advantage of the heated pool, and that you get the tub lift, too!

Good thoughts being sent your way and to your grandmother.
