they both have their place but the slops are so comfortable when it's hot out ....you have room for air to circulate

-
we both got our shoes from fugawee .....the only place that had them in my size without paying through the teeth for them (14EEE) need to polish my brass buckles though they are pretty green after this last month

-

cartridge boxes were used on board ship as well lad ....mainly because you weren't always on board ship when you fought ....and why create a second piece of equipment to do the same job ......one if by land and two if by sea (i have heard that somewheres) .....no! one worked both places ...i load my blank cartridges in mine all the time i just designate which is a live fire round and which is a blank round and never load both in the same box at the same time

MVT's double barrel flint pistol

i am meeting with pete this weekend at ft. ticonderoga and he said he thought he'd have the prototype with him there.... so i will be able to give you a full disclosure even perhaps the pricing by monday ....so keep your powder dry and i will probably have several of these available when i come to pip -
i usually recommend a cartridge box (a wooden block with holes drilled in it covered with at least a leather flap) with pre-made paper cartridges that are made with a piece of newsprint paper rolled around a dowel rod; to form the tube that powder is measured into the ends are folded over to keep the powder in and then you have 10-30 shots ready to load as you will a simple brass or even plastic measure can be used to load the paper cartridges the morning of an event an example from Godwins

i have no problem working with cascabel and braze or others with regards to safety ....i'm a staunch believer in doing them right the first time instead of learning from painful mistakes .... safe boomers make everyone happy

well with all the prancing nancy's in the pub we certainly know where to get the chum for to draw in the sharks .........but the lead poisoning from all that whitewash they are painting themselves up would be rotting their brains ...i'm sure would kill them first
-
grilled a few trout on the bbq with skewers of veggies (peppers onions and tomatoes) ....a couple of cold cyders and some frozen raspberry mouse
-
the earliest brown bess's were made at dublin castle around 1720 a little late but still close but it depends on what your intent is ....as to spanning from the late GAOP to rev war it would do in a pinch ...but since you have stated that you've wanted a BB for awhile go for it ....MVTCo is a good company and their weapons are of the first rate ....and you won't be paying the higher impost duty or shipping that you would from loyalist or others and they stand behind every gun they sell with very good free service policy

patrick as you have heard here you are what more folks should aspire to ...your kit is very authentic in appearance and period sewing techniques ....as you heard from the crowd there is no higher praise than that ...you are the epitome of an authentic looking pyrate ...i hope my kit will come to follow your examples ....i doft my tricorn t'ye lad
-
tis a dirty job but we're glad you're doing it ....since i'm not the most computer savvy m'self ...one question i have and it's a small one is there anyway to get more period type fonts on the pub ....having worked in military tech pubs for almost 30 years i have an aversion to sans serif block type and besides i think a pyrate pub needs a pyratical type font like say - blackadder itc or other script typefaces ....just a request
-
i might be interested in say 200 of said buttons

always looking for added stock for my pyratical emporium -
glad to see the numbers swelling ....the more the merrier

with crowds around it's usually blanks ....some places have approved ranges to be able to fire live rounds .....but it's usually safe to assume if you are allowed to fire at an event it will be just blank loads ...and most better events have a safety inspection of your weapon to make sure it is safe to fire around the general public and will hold safety meetings for all that intend to fire their weapons....
