  1. Well, it was publicly unveiled at RF2, and since the photo has been posted on the Internet, it is technically "out there."

Here is my Maltese Cross tattoo...

  2. And as I posted, I didn't say it was your backside.. you have LadyB to keel-haul for that.

No, I was the first to say it was on my backside. In the "Pirate Ink" thread.

And the underwear line strongly indicates the actual location out of context from any other reference point.

and I'll see about removing the booty shot of you.  You surprised the heck out of me showing that off..

    Aw, hell. Leave it.

  3. Kind of hoping you all STOP copying the cheek shot. Once was plenty.

Merrydeath, I publicly reported that I have a Maltese Cross tattoo elsewhere in the Pub (under "Pirate Ink" if I recall correctly), so I doubt there were but a few who did not know whose arse were exposed.

  4. I think "Cheeky" Actress is going to have to justify her epithet, as she clearly has competition.

Um, perhaps that's the last copy of that angle that should be put up on the Internet, 'kay? How about more innocent shots? Like maybe of me dancing with men?

Okay, I forgot about that... but that was the second dance I had with a guy that evening.

I only just remembered earlier this evening... some guy had asked me out on the dance floor during the ball. I thought I recalled it it was a fast dance, until I remembered that he wanted to lead. (Doesn't someone only lead in a slow dance?)

I thought nothing of it at the time (I am secure enough with myself to think nothing of dancing with another man) -- but now I recall he stopped by the booth on Sunday, rather interested in hanging around more than asking questions about pirates. And he seemed rather put off when I left to go get something to drink.

    Hmmm....

Um, does anybody think I was sending out mixed signals? I thought I was doing adequately well advertising the "Not Available" thing to the ladies, but I never thought I might need to widen my potential consumer base. Or perhaps it was misperceived as "Not Available To Ladies."

  6. okay.. uploaded onto bucket.. do i use URL or HTML to post?

and any idea how to turn vids clock or countr?

and.. the only pic i have of me at the Ball is too dark to use.. any of me with a smile on my face?

Use IMG. Of course, you can always "Preview Post" first to be sure it works before committing.

And here is one with Rats on your face...

And another from the dance floor.

  7. Vicariously? Oh, I can do better than that....

Here is a sample of the candid action you caught if you strayed from the crowd....

    100_1024.jpg

    ...And throw in another reenactor...

    100_1026.jpg

-- okay, I am compelled to reveal that the guy in the middle is the father of the blonde... which I find somewhat disturbing....

  8. I believe I was choking on my own tongue... B)

God, what an awful picture, someone must have a better one surely?

Not I. And I am disappointed that I did not even seek you out for a better picture.

And I have no pictures of the Dealer's room, or any of the other displays (I meant to get one of the Romans. Damn.) But I appear to have over 100 photoos from the weekend. More to come... I promise.

Cheeky? If there is a call from RF2 Management for photos, let me know.

  9. Some of the Archangel crew hanging out. I fear I will never truly fit in until I stop shaving...

    100_0963.jpg

Another shot of the display... I am so incredibly proud of my shipmates.

    Captain Sterling and Aurore --

Here's the shot many have been waiting for -- General Grant and General Custer disco dancing to "Staying Alive" (this manuever is known as "Screwing in the Lightbulb"):

  10. Also on the menu at RF2 -- a Rat Sandwich!

    100_0989.jpg

The Archangel display. Good job, Rats, and Andy... and everyone.

    100_0957.jpg

An incredibly unflattering shot of Mister Foxe on the sidelines... um, does anyone know the Heimlich Maneuver?

Walking Like An Egyptian. That's right , it doesn't matter from what timeline you are, walk like an Egyptian!!

  11. ...Sorry... just teasing. I really could not resist.

I believe I have between 50 and 100 photos. That includes an excellent shot of your handiwork, Rats.

Now that I am back home ("back on board"), I have some external pressure to NOT be logging in to this site as often as before (alas, it appears I have used up the allotment of "pirate tolerance" from others), but I promise to try posting some pictures this evening (probably after Eight Bells).

I have a perfectly horrible shot of Foxe, and I have no idea why. I think, therefore, it deserves to be posted.

...And thank you very much, Mr. Foxe, for serving as my Personal Couture Shopping Consultant. I really appreciate it.

Speaking of "More Cowbell," I want to again point out that the brass sights on my astrolabe were, infact, made from a cowbell. So Christopher Walken is with us, at least in spirit.

Oh -- and I have no voice.

    Must run.

  12. Beautiful material Capn Pete, where will you be wearing the fantasy Justacorps to? Where did you finally get your lining material and what did you choose. I was lazy with my frock coat I have, about 5 years ago I picked up a Burgandy Velvet coat in a Thrift shop and kinda tweaked it a bit to make my frock coat. Would love to make one from scratch...but I have seen there are some sexier cuts for women's frocks.

The lining was just a complimentary version of the same pattern. I have no idea where I'll wear the "fantasy" one. Possibly Port Washington... who knows? Who cares?

I have been busting my butt on the button holes on my wool coat. Nightmare. And tonight I have a few projects to wrap up for RF2, then pack the car -- so I'll be wearing that justacorps with whatever buttonholes I manage to sew tonight. The rest will have to wait...

  13. At least I was working on two garments.  Willow (the infinitely frictionless soft grey kitten) insisted on sitting upon my woolen justacorps.  I could only get her to move off so I could sew the pocket flaps by folding the OTHER one into a more enticing bed.

If she's infinitely frictionless, shouldn't a gentle puff of air send her skidding across the floor, like an air hockey puck? You may have invented a completely new sport!

She still has needle-sharp claws. But her fur....
