How quickly could you have that sword shipped to New Brunswick, Canada, do you think?

Basically what materials I'd need to get started, and maybe some do's and don'ts? But any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had Vans before, and while I don't skate and don't really like the style, MAN are they comfortable shoes! Anyway, now I wear Adidas Superstars (best shoes I ever bought ).

I know this is a pretty "newbie" question, but I'm trying to be a Pirate for Halloween (based off Jack Sparrow, but not necessarily excactly the same) and I was wondering what "type" of coat I should be looking for at thrift stores etc. What I mean is, I'm not entire sure what would pass well for a coat a pirate might wear.

Heh, I figured it was pretty unrealistic, but I just thought I'd ask. Can you give me any tips on creating costumes from patterns?

I've never done anything with "patterns" (I usually just buy clothes at Thrift Stores for costumes), and I was wondering how hard it would be to make this for a beginner and whether I'd have a chance in hell of having it ready for Halloween? Thanks. Hobbes
