Wal, I had high hopes of being able ta live vicariously thru them photos, but it said they is still not availible. I am truley sorry ta have missed it . I have already started making preparations. I will have ta go thru hell and damnation, but I WILL be thar this year. Good luck with the techno troubles. We'll keep checking back.

Wal , I could not slog thru all tha post. I just wanted ta say that me favorite song be " The Dark Lady" as performed by The Shantyman. It can be found on his disc called 'Pirate's Life'. Me favorite shanty be "Ned's Shanty" written by Mike Price and found on the Blarney Brother's disc- 'A Fine Line Between Ambition and Delusion'. Bottoms up me lads.

Ahoy thar Piratemanic. That thar song is sung by numerous bands each with slightly different lyrics. A few examples can be found on : THE CORSAIRS -the black disc; THE BILGEPUMPS -Greatest hits Vol. VIII (they refer ta it as 'The Derelict') ; JOLLY ROGERS - Pirates' Gold (also 'The Derelict'). I hope that might help ye a little.

Wal, Sante Claus brought me the FM disk. I must say. It is a great addition ta me collection. It's great ta learn about all tha other people who like tha same kind'a music.

Wal, I just read all tha posts. Whew!. Me head hurts. Tha original Question has been sliced up well. I learned years ago ta look , don't get caught, then go talk to tha women. They generally only bite if ya ask nicely and have a good supply of Capt'n Morgan's. I notice a woman's clothes and how she carries herself in them. A confident woman is VERY apealling ta me.

In tha last ten years I have only heard it refered to as garb at tha SCA events, while tha Rennies I met call it kit or outfits. Meself, I like Iron Bess' "m'rigging" I might have ta adopt tha one as well.

It looked so tempting. Oh well, I will put it on me X-mas wishlist.

Aye. I must say thar is never an end. I have been working on mine for ten years now. I also hit tha second had and thrift stores. I have only found a few good deals (steals) at tha antique stores. I am constantly looking for everyday things that have tha proper "look". Another source for some good ideas is No Quarter Given. I have gotten a couple good pieces from their advertisers.

Ahoy thar Captain. Tha sight of tha firing is great. I have only fired me pistols an a friend's rifle. I am looking in ta possibly creating some custom pieces for meself this winter. thanks for tha updates.

Ahoy all. I just wanted ta add me 2 dubloons worth. I just started on a vest of pieced leather. If it works out, I plan ta attempt a Capt'n coat. Me navigator suggested leaving tha arms where ye can remove them in tha warm summers and put them on in tha cold. I have put together a few other leather items. If ye use tha "rough out" side, it tends ta give it tha rugged look. Me biggest challenge was getting a machine that would go thru several layers of leather and not snap needles. I got an old 1950's era machine that works as long as ya take yur time. There were many good suggestions. Thanks to ye all, I have a couple more ideas ta get worked out.
