  6. I plan to make it to PARF this year. Not sure of any dates as of yet though.
  7. Got to see it! Found it here... Dead Man's Chest Hit the POTC 2 Trailer link...it worked for me. :)
  8. Yes Muppet Treasure Island is much better and it seems Tim was trying to reprise that role.
  9. The family and I saw this last night on cable, it was a freebie. Cute little movie with Tim Curry as the pirate captain. My daughter did enjoy it even though any adult could spot its many faults and bad acting. Pirates of the Plain
  10. "Greetin's thar mates...'ere be a new pic of me self with the misses for a Halloween party we attended. I actually got her ta dress up! Perhaps next year we'll make it out to the Faire" !
  11. I would have to go with entertainer, though I haven't done much of that either.
  12. Went out to see it last night and thought it was very good! Now I need to pick up the dvd set!
  13. Aye greetings Miss Cheryl, perhaps we'll make it down to MDRF next month and we can catch up with all ya's down there. The wife and I have been invited to a Halloween party, so she has actually showed interest in purchasing some garb. Sept 10 "Pirates Day" is in Barnegat NJ. My daughter and I plan to dress up and walk around, I'm gonna pick up some "cheap" gold coins to give out to the kiddies. Should be fun! And speaking of Maryland, I was just down in the small town of Mayo where I purchased a sailboat. The main reason why I had to put off the trip to PARF. Used up most of me dubloons. So now I'm the proud owner of a 1976 Hutchin's Com-Pac 16, she needs a bit of refitting but no one would call her old. She has a bluff bow, lovely lines. She's a fine seabird - weatherly, stiff and fast. Very fast, if she's well handled. No, she's not old. She's in her prime." :) I'm looking for a May 2006 launching and I'm trying to talk me better half into having a denaming/renaming party. Well back to careening the hull. -Wil
  14. Won't be making it for Pirates weekend, just too much going on in August around the house here. I hope to get out some time in September. Actually a nearby town has it's own "Pirates Day" festival on Sept 10th so I plan on attending that, in garb of course. Went last year and only seen one guy dressed up so I'm hoping to see a few more characters roaming the streets this year. Have a great time @PARF!
  15. After a few days ashore, Wil now found himself back on board and the solid deck of the Watch Dog felt good under his feet. Though he did his part to help with repairs to the ship he did so detest shore work. Aboard a fine vessel is where his heart lay and the reason which lead him to a life at sea in the first place. Gunner Firethorn walked the deck a bit; paying his respect to the various officers he passed, before heading below decks to his cannon station. As he approached, his mind drifted back to the days after he left home as a young lad. Living in Dover for a bit trying to find employment on a Merchant ship, he spent many a night carousing with the ladies at the local tavern. His hand lovingly caressed the gun over the name he hastily scratched upon her…Charity. _______________________________________________ Wil Firethorn …ship’s gunner & scoundrel
  16. The days chores build a mighty thirst in Firethorn's throat. When word goes out about extra rum, Wil scampers to be first in line for his double ration. _______________________________________________ Wil Firethorn …ship’s gunner & scoundrel
  17. After making contact with Petee, Wil fetches himself a fresh mug of ale before taking up his position at the gun implacement. _______________________________________________ Wil Firethorn …ship’s gunner & scoundrel
  18. Aye! ...as tempting as it might be ta command such a fine ship as the Watch Dog, I shall cast me vote for Red Wake and make it unanimous. _______________________________________________ Wil Firethorn …ship’s gunner & scoundrel
  19. Wil slammed down the remainder of his coffee as he made his way to join the barge crew. “Aye, ready ta go Jack!” _______________________________________________ Wil Firethorn …ship’s gunner & scoundrel
  20. I HAVE RETURNED! Had a great cruise and stay a Disney World! Here are a couple of pic's, still going through the 256 pictures I took.
  21. Well instead of leaving Sat. morning we've made changes to get out this afternoon and hopefully beat Dennis to FLA. This should be fun! I also decided to take along a bit of me garb(pants, shirt, belt) to wear on pirates night. After looking on some of the Disney sites it seems a few, and I mean a few people do dress up. If I don't take anything I'll kick myself later, so me daughter and I will plan to dress up and to the total disapproval of my 16 year old son.
  22. ooc: Don't want ya's ta think I fell over board... so I be makin' it known that I'm a headed down for vacation in FLA, in time for hurricane Dennis of course. So figure ole Wil is below deck polishing the weaponary or caulking the seams. _______________________________________________ Wil Firethorn …ship’s gunner & scoundrel
